Patriarchs and Prophets pages 34 -
The Sovereign of the universe was not alone in His work of beneficence. He had an associate--a co-worker who could appreciate His purposes, and could share His joy in giving happiness to created beings. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God." John 1:1, 2. Christ, the Word, the only begotten of God, was one with the eternal Father--one in nature, in character, in purpose--the only being that could enter into all the counsels and purposes of God. "His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6. His "goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." Micah 5:2. And the Son of God declares concerning Himself: "The Lord possessed Me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I was set up from everlasting. . . . When He appointed the foundations of the earth: then I was by Him, as one brought up with Him: and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him." Proverbs 8:22-30.

The Father wrought by His Son in the creation of all heavenly beings. "By Him were all things created, . . . whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him." Colossians 1:16. Angels are God's ministers, radiant with the light ever flowing from His presence and speeding on rapid wing to execute His will. But the Son, the anointed of God, the "express image of His person, " "the brightness of His glory, " "upholding all things by the word of His power, " holds supremacy over them all. Hebrews 1:3. "A glorious high throne from the beginning, " was the place of His sanctuary (Jeremiah 17:12); "a scepter of righteousness, " the scepter of His kingdom. Hebrews 1:8. "Honor and majesty are before Him: strength and beauty are in His sanctuary." Psalm 96:6. Mercy and truth go before His face. Psalm 89:14.

The law of love being the foundation of the government of God, the happiness of all intelligent beings depends upon their perfect accord with its great principles of righteousness. God desires from all His creatures the service of love--service that springs from an appreciation of His character. He takes no pleasure in a forced obedience; and to all He grants freedom of will, that they may render Him voluntary service.

Page 35
So long as all created beings acknowledged the allegiance of love, there was perfect harmony throughout the universe of God. It was the joy of the heavenly host to fulfill the purpose of their Creator. They delighted in reflecting His glory and showing forth His praise. And while love to God was supreme, love for one another was confiding and unselfish. There was no note of discord to mar the celestial harmonies. But a change came over this happy state. There was one who perverted the freedom that God had granted to His creatures. Sin originated with him who, next to Christ, had been most honored of God and was highest in power and glory among the inhabitants of heaven. Lucifer, "son of the morning, " was first of the covering cherubs, holy and undefiled. He stood in the presence of the great Creator, and the ceaseless beams of glory enshrouding the eternal God rested upon him. "Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering. . . . Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee." Ezekiel 28:12-15.

Little by little Lucifer came to indulge the desire for self-exaltation. The Scripture says, "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness." Ezekiel 28:17. "Thou hast said in thine heart, . . . I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. . . . I will be like the Most High." Isaiah 14:13, 14. Though all his glory was from God, this mighty angel came to regard it as pertaining to himself. Not content with his position, though honored above the heavenly host, he ventured to covet homage due alone to the Creator. Instead of seeking to make God supreme in the affections and allegiance of all created beings, it was his endeavor to secure their service and loyalty to himself. And coveting the glory with which the infinite Father had invested His Son, this prince of angels aspired to power that was the prerogative of Christ alone.

Now the perfect harmony of heaven was broken. Lucifer's disposition to serve himself instead of his Creator aroused a feeling of apprehension when observed by those who considered that the

Page 36
glory of God should be supreme. In heavenly council the angels pleaded with Lucifer. The Son of God presented before him the greatness, the goodness, and the justice of the Creator, and the sacred, unchanging nature of His law. God Himself had established the order of heaven; and in departing from it, Lucifer would dishonor his Maker and bring ruin upon himself. But the warning, given in infinite love and mercy, only aroused a spirit of resistance. Lucifer allowed his jealousy of Christ to prevail, and became the more determined.
To dispute the supremacy of the Son of God, thus impeaching the wisdom and love of the Creator, had become the purpose of this prince of angels. To this object he was about to bend the energies of that master mind, which, next to Christ's, was first among the hosts of God. But He who would have the will of all His creatures free, left none unguarded to the bewildering sophistry by which rebellion would seek to justify itself. Before the great contest should open, all were to have a clear presentation of His will, whose wisdom and goodness were the spring of all their joy.

The King of the universe summoned the heavenly hosts before Him, that in their presence He might set forth the true position of His Son and show the relation He sustained to all created beings. The Son of God shared the Father's throne, and the glory of the eternal, self-existent One encircled both. About the throne gathered the holy angels, a vast, unnumbered throng--"ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands" (Revelation 5:11.), the most exalted angels, as ministers and subjects, rejoicing in the light that fell upon them from the presence of the Deity. Before the assembled inhabitants of heaven the King declared that none but Christ, the Only Begotten of God, could fully enter into His purposes, and to Him it was committed to execute the mighty counsels of His will. The Son of God had wrought the Father's will in the creation of all the hosts of heaven; and to Him, as well as to God, their homage and allegiance were due. Christ was still to exercise divine power, in the creation of the earth and its inhabitants. But in all this He would not seek power or exaltation for Himself contrary to God's plan, but would exalt the Father's glory and execute His purposes of beneficence and love.

The angels joyfully acknowledged the supremacy of Christ, and prostrating themselves before Him, poured out their love and adoration. Lucifer bowed with them, but in his heart there was

Page 37
a strange, fierce conflict.

During this rant of yours, Emmanuel, at minute 30:25 of the video, you said Jesus didn’t get life from anywhere else. So how do you reconcile John 5:26? This is a “dead horse” issue now, brother. Quit beating it! You obviously need to keep doing your homework and stop misquoting and misrepresenting the One True God movement. Also, quoting someone’s statement from 1929 does not represent a “Pioneer” position on the Godhead.

22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. (The Trinity doctrine defines the Father and the Son as coequal and co-eternal and further to justify this position, the father -son relationship cannot be a literal relationship but is metaphorical.)

You cannot believe in the Great Controversy and the trinity doctrine at the same time. The trinity doctrine is contrary to or does away with the hierarchy in heaven as taught by the SOP as taught in the first chapter of Patriarchs and Prophets and in many other places. You contradict Ellen White and the pioneers beliefs without knowing it. The trinity doctrine does away with the sanctuary message. Think deeper about your position and try to fit all the other SDA beliefs. God said Jesus is His beloved Son. Is that paganism.

Lets read the word of God in it`s correct context! John 20:17   Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go
to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto MY FATHER, and YOUR FATHER; and
to MY GOD, and YOUR GOD.John 20:31   But these are written, that ye might
BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the SON OF GOD; and that BELIEVING ye might
have LIFE THOUGH HIS NAME.Those who seek to remove the old landmarks are not holding fast; they are not remembering how they have received and heard. Those who try to bring in theories that would remove the pillars of our faith concerning the sanctuary or concerning the personality of God or of Christ, are working as blind men. They are seeking to bring in uncertainties and to set the people of God adrift without an anchor. MR760 9.5 Those who claim to be identified with the message that God has given us should have keen, clear spiritual perceptions, that they may distinguish truth from error. The word spoken by the messenger of God is “Wake up the watchmen.” If men will discern the spirit of the messages given and strive to find out from what source they come, the Lord God of Israel will guard them from being led astray. But God is not to be trifled with. MR760 9.6 The messages that we have received from heaven are true and faithful. When one man strives to bring in new theories which are not the truth, the ministers of God should bear clear warning against these theories, pointing out where, if received, they would lead the people of God. Those who have received the light of present truth should not be easily deceived and readily led from the true path into strange paths. The watchmen are to be wide awake to discern the outcome of all specious reasoning, for serious errors will be brought in to lead the people of God astray. MR760 10.1 My brother, you are in the presence of Him who has never failed to accomplish His work or to fulfill His word. Bear not this message that you think means so much. In one way, it does mean much. It means the uprooting of faith in God and the making of infidels. Cease from all such work, for it will open the door for many to depart from the faith once delivered to the saints, and to give heed to seducing spirits.—Manuscript 62, 1905. (“A Warning Against False Theories, ” May 24, 190.) MR760 12.2 In the future, deception of every kind is to arise, and we want solid ground for our feet. We want solid pillars for the building(MT 16:16  And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son
of the living God.
MT 26:63  But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said
unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou
tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son
of God.
JOH 6:69  And we believe and are sure that thou art that
Christ, the Son
of the living God. MT 16:18  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and
upon this rock I will build my church;
and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.). Not one pin is to be removed from that which the Lord has established. The enemy will bring in false theories such as the doctrine that there is no sanctuary(trinity does away with the sanctuary and the personality of God and His Son!!!). This is one of the points on which there will be a departing from the faith. Where shall we find safety unless it be in the truths that the Lord has been giving for the last fifty years? MR760 12.3 If we are the Lord's appointed messengers, we shall not spring up with new ideas and theories to contradict the message that God has given through His servants since 1844(THE FATHER AND THE SON PILLAR OF OUR FAITH!). At that time many sought the Lord with heart and soul and voice. The men whom God raised up were diligent searchers of the Scriptures(True Seventh Day Adventists that we need to study their writings from 1844 to 1894, this are the last fifty years She refers to,  not 1907 when some, including the ones you quote, had become apostates). And those who today claim to have light, and who contradict the teaching of God's ordained messengers who were working under the Holy Spirit's guidance, those who get up new theories which remove the pillars of our faith, are not doing the will of God, but are bringing in fallacies of their own invention, which, if received, will cut the church away from the anchorage of truth and set them drifting, drifting, to where they will receive any sophistries that may arise. These will be similar to that which Dr. J. H. Kellogg, under Satan's special guidance, has been working for years!!!!. MR760 14.2

Pastor Emmanuel is teaching paganism in this sermon. Pagans worship many Gods, and he believe in worshiping a third God named Holy Spirit. Let him be accursed whoever brings another gospel. TRINITY IS DOCTRINE OF DEMONS

I like your work brother on news articles, but I respectfully advise you do not understand this subject. I think we (those who understand the false implications of the trinity) have your best interest at heart. Be careful friend, you are speaking about a sacred subject.

Dear Brother, Normally I agree with your sermons but this one I have to say you need to study more. One or two hrs. of study won't do, it takes 10 or hundreds of hours. Ellen White and the pioneers came out of Trinitarian churches and became non Trinitarians. This is verified by the Biblical Research Institute, various church historians, the book "27 Fundamental. .." and others. For further study see " Revelation 1412.org" " The Alpha & Omega of Deadly Heresies" and many other valuable studies, "Talking Rock Sabbath Chaple's" the "Theos series" I pray that you will continue to study.

The Pioneers Speaking through their Writings:  J.  N.  Loughborough:J.  N.  Loughborough  was  the  son  of  a  Methodist
minister  and  became  a  Sabbath-keeping  Adventist
through the labors of J. N. Andrews in 1852. He began
preaching immediately and was ordained in 1854. He,
along with D. T. Bourdeau, were our first missionaries,
sent to California in 1868. Loughborough was the first
man  to  receive  ordination  in  what  was  later  to  be
known  as  the  Seventh-day  Adventist  Church.  This
occurred when he was only 22 years old. Like most of
the  early  Advent  leaders,   Loughborough  took  a  real
interest in the literature work. Loughborough was truly
a  great  pioneer,   lending  his  many  talents  to  the
development  of  the  work  wherever  there  was  a  need.  Elder  Loughborough  was
obedient  to  the  heavenly vision,   and  God used  him in a  mighty way to  build up  the
interest  of  His  cause.  An  eye-witness  to  the  founding  of  the  Seventh-day  Adventist
church, he became the denomination's first historian, writing the book The Rise and
Progress  of  Seventh-day  Adventists,   which  was  followed  by  The  Great  Second
Advent Movement.  He was also the author of smaller books. He spent his last years
in the St. Helena Sanitarium, where he passed away peacefully on April 7, 1924, at
the ripe old age of ninety-two. His funeral was held in the St. Helena church, which
was  one  of  the  first  churches  he  had  raised  up  in  California  more  than  fifty  years
before.  “I  say  let  Elder  Loughborough  do  a  work  that  is  suffering  to  be  done  in  the
churches. The Lord would have his voice heard as was John's, telling the things he
has seen, and that which he has heard, which he himself has experienced in the rise
and progress of the third angel's message.” {E. G. White, 1888 Materials, p. 716}

“QUESTIONS FOR BRO. LOUGHBOROUGH.

BRO. WHITE: The following questions I would like to have you give, or send, to Bro.
Loughborough for explanation. W. W. GILES. Toledo, Ohio.

QUESTION 1.  What serious objection is there to the doctrine of the Trinity?

ANSWER.    There are many objections which  we  might  urge,   but  on  account  of  our
limited  space  we  shall  reduce  them  to  the  three  following:  1.    It  is  contrary  to
common  sense.    2.    It  is  contrary  to  scripture.    3.    Its  origin  is  Pagan  and
fabulous. These  positions  we  will  remark  upon  briefly  in  their  order.    And  1.    It  is  not  very
consonant with common sense to talk of three being one, and one being three.  Or
as some express it, calling God "the Triune God, " or "the three-one-God."  If Father,
Son, and Holy Ghost are each God, it would be three Gods; for three times one is
not one, but three.  There is a sense in which they are one, but not one person, as
claimed by Trinitarians.

2.  It is contrary to Scripture.  Almost any portion of the New Testament we may open
which has occasion to speak of the Father and Son, represents them as two distinct
persons.  The seventeenth chapter of John is alone sufficient to refute the doctrine of
the  Trinity.    Over  forty  times  in  that  one  chapter  Christ  speaks  of  his  Father  as  a
person  distinct  from  himself.    His  Father  was  in  heaven  and  he  upon  earth.    The
Father  had  sent  him.    Given  to  him  those  that  believed.    He  was  then  to  go  to  the
Father.  And in this very testimony he shows us in what consists the oneness of the
Father and  Son.   It  is the  same  as the  oneness of  the  members of  Christ's church.
"That  they  all  may  be  one;  as  thou,   Father,   art  in  me,   and  I  in  thee,   that  they  also
may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.  And the glory
which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one."
Of  one  heart  and  one  mind.    Of  one  purpose  in  all  the  plan  devised  for  man's
salvation.  Read the seventeenth chapter of John, and see if it does not completely
upset the doctrine of the Trinity.

To believe  that  doctrine,   when  reading  the  scripture  we  must  believe  that  God sent
himself into the world, died to reconcile the world to himself, raised himself from the
dead,   ascended  to  himself  in  heaven,   pleads  before  himself  in  heaven  to  reconcile
the world to himself, and is the only mediator between man and himself.  It will not do
to  substitute  the  human  nature  of  Christ  (according  to  Trinitarians) as the  Mediator;
for Clarke says, "Human blood can no more appease God than swine's blood."  Com.
on 2Sam.xxi, 10.  We must believe also that in the garden God prayed to himself, if it
were  possible,   to  let  the  cup  pass  from  himself,   and  a  thousand  other  such
absurdities.

Read  carefully  the  following  texts,   comparing  them  with  the  idea  that  Christ  is  the
Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Supreme,   and  only self-existent God: John xiv, 28; xvii, 3;
iii, 16;  v, 19, 26;  xi, 15;  xx, 19;  viii, 50;  vi, 38;  Mark  xiii, 32;  Luke  vi, 12;  xxii, 69;  xxiv, 29;
Matt.iii, 17; xxvii, 46; Gal.iii, 20; 1Jno.ii, 1; Rev.v, 7; Acts xvii, 31.  Also see Matt.xi, 25, 27;
Luke  i, 32;  xxii, 42;  John  iii, 35, 36;  v, 19, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26;  vi, 40;  viii, 35, 36;  xiv, 13;
1Cor.xv, 28, &c.

The  word  Trinity  nowhere  occurs  in  the  Scriptures.    The  principal  text  supposed  to
teach  it is 1John  [5]:7,   which is an  interpolation.   Clarke  says,   "Out  of  one  hundred
and thirteen manuscripts, the text is wanting in one hundred and twelve.  It occurs in
no MS. before the tenth century.  And the first place the text occurs in Greek, is in the Greek translation of the acts of the Council of Lateran, held A. D. 1215."  - Com. on
John i, and remarks at close of chap.3.  Its origin is pagan and fabulous.  Instead of pointing us to scripture for proof of the
trinity,   we  are  pointed  to  the  trident  of  the  Persians,   with  the  assertion  that  "by  this
they designed to teach the idea of a trinity, and if they had the doctrine of the trinity,
they  must  have  received  it  by  tradition  from  the  people  of  God.  But  this  is  all
assumed,   for  it  is  certain  that  the  Jewish  church  held  to  no  such  doctrine.
Says  Mr.  Summerbell,   "A  friend  of  mine  who  was  present  in  a  New  York
synagogue,   asked  the  Rabbi  for  an  explanation  of  the  word  `elohim'.    A
Trinitarian  clergyman  who  stood  by,   replied,   `Why,   that  has  reference  to  the
three persons in the Trinity, ' when a Jew stepped forward and said he must not
mention that word again, or they would have to compel him to leave the house;
for  it  was  not  permitted  to  mention  the  name  of  any  strange  god  in  the
synagogue."  (Discussion  between  Summerbell and  Flood on  Trinity,   p.  38)  Milman
says the idea of the Trident is fabulous. (Hist. Christianity, p.34)

This  doctrine  of  the  trinity  was  brought  into  the  church  about  the  same  time
with  image  worship,   and  keeping  the  day  of  the  sun,   and  is  but  Persian
doctrine remodeled.  It occupied about three hundred years from its introduction to
bring the doctrine to what it is now.  It was commenced about 325 A. D., and was not
completed  till 681.   See  Milman's Gibbon's Rome, vol.  iv, p.422.   It  was adopted in
Spain  in  589,   in  England  in  596,   in  Africa  in  534.  -  Gib.  vol.  iv,   pp.114, 345;  Milner,
vol. i, p.519.” {J. N. Loughborough, Review & Herald, November 5, 1861}

“The Spirit of God is spoken of in the Scriptures as God's representative- the power
by  which  he  works,   the  agency  by  which  all  things  are  upheld.  This  is  clearly
expressed  by  the  Psalmist...Psa.  139:7-10.  We  learn  from  this  language  that  when
we speak of the Spirit of God we are really speaking of his presence and power.” {J.
N. Loughborough, Review & Herald, September 20, 1898}

“Moreover,   he  [Christ]  is  the  beginning  of  the  creation  of  God. … The  language
does  not  necessarily  imply  that  he  was  created;  for the words… may simply
signify  that  the  work  of  creation,   strictly  speaking,   was  begun  by  him.  Without  him
was not anything made. Others, however, and more properly we think, take the word
(for beginning in Greek) to mean the agent or efficient cause, … understanding that
Christ  is  the  agent  through  whom  God  has  created  all  things,   but  that  he  himself
came into existence in a different manner, as he is called  the only begotten of the
Father.”  {J.  N.  Loughborough,   Insert  A-1,   Lest  We  Forget,   Volume  4,   Number  2,
Second Quarter, 1994}

John 17:1-3 17 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify Yo, 2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should[a] give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. (Jesus acknowledges the authority of His Father.) 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. (Where is God the Spirit? God and Jesus are separate entities. Eternal life has nothing to do with the Trinity.)
1 Corinthians 8: 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many, )6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
1 Corinthians 11:3 3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God
1 Corinthians 15:28 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
These and many more scriptures are simple and straight forward you don't have to go to the theology school to understand. Why does this pastor go to scriptures that are complicated to support a lie. You keep calling these guys as teaching Catholicism and yet you yourself are pushing the Trinity doctrine which is a Catholic doctrine. You are more Catholic than these guys you keep accusing.

The statement that God the Father made in Hebrews 1:8 should forever silence the Father/Son movement, yet they somehow still cling to the false doctrine that Jesus is a lesser god. Hebrews 1:8 KJV: "But unto the Son He saith, thy throne O God, is forever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom." And in Revelation 1:8-13 KJV Jesus is also referred to as "the Alpha and the Omega, the Almighty." Those are terms that only belong to God. So if the Father calls Jesus God, who are we humans to dispute that? The Father/Son movement is beyond absurd and confusing, it is satanic! Many are confused by the statement Jesus made in John 14:28, saying that the Father is greater than He. But what many forget or don't know is that Jesus brought forth to Earth two natures, His nature as God and His nature as the Son of man. He spoke as the Son of man in John 14:28, but He spoke as God in John 10:30 and John 8:58!

EMMANUEL NOUGAISSE: at 105:15 and beyond you say that the things of God are spiritually discerned and you say that the anti-trinitarian movement cannot receive the things of God and cannot be taught by the Spirit of God because they do not believe in the third person of the godhead (divinity of divine nature) and this is blasphemy against the Spirit of God. However, Jesus Christ said: "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" Matthew 7:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
You then discuss Matthew 12:31. YOU MISS THE FOLLOWING POINTS: (1) The sin was against the Holy Spirit. The accusation was made by the Pharisees was not only against Christ; ultimately it was against the Holy Spirit who was performing the miracles through Christ. (2) who did Jesus Christ say was performing the miracles? himself or someone else? "Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise." John 5: 18-19. "Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." John 14:8-10. EMMANUEL NOUGAISSE: you say that the persons in the anti-trinitarian movement are guilty of blasphemy against the Spirit of God and have committed the unpardonable sin. How are you any different than the Pharisees in Matthew 12:24 and the Scribes in Mark 3:22?
