Beautiful hymn, beautifully sung by my beautiful little sister in Christ. I think it's about time Christians put our divisions aside in terms of denominations (inc the non-denomination, denomination, if that makes sense!) & focus on the Lord Jesus Christ the only begotten son of god & for the lost who have not yet come to salvation. I believe in these end times we need to be careful not to let doctrines of demons slip in & take over such as "prosperity gospel". The Lord Jesus Christ did not shed his holy, pure & innocent blood in the most horrific, painful manner so that we can all have Mercedes & detached homes, but rather that we can have salvation from sin/from hell & restore a relationship with our creator that will 1 day lead to entering heaven!

A precious song. Learnt during the student exchange program in Raymond public school (Chicago) and a parochial school (Winnetka). We had learnt this song for a special assembly for our parents. I was ten years old. My soul resonated with the lyrics and the music. Praise God for his grace and love to a black girl from the projects of Chicago. Hallelujah!!!
