Since we restored our WW2 Stuart M3A1 tank a little while ago, i thought why not put our series together in one video with a load of footage that you likely haven't seen yet!

Tank restorations are truly my favourite thing when it comes to military history

Sweet ride. That first time running it out on the field must have felt incredible. Awesome job. Talented bunch of folks there.

Fantastic work, my Dad drove a Stuart Tower (it towed a 17 pounder) just after war, loads of stories of how quick they were and he had a scar when one bit him when he crashed it on Ex in Egypt. I went the dismount route...Kinda wish I went Armoured Inf :)

Something about a tank just makes every gearhead and rodder interested. I care nothing about the history, but I sure do love the machinery! ALL of them, from every side! Even a crappy tank is still a TANK!

The Stuart has been one of my favourites since I was a kid, back in the 60s. Used to read the Haunted Tank comics regular like clockwork. It was one of the first model tanks I ever built, and I just finished a lend lease tank in Soviet markings with the logo Suvarov on the turret. You guys did a hell of a nice job on her.

M5 Stewie has always been on my bucket list of tanks ill never own. but lust after anyway..
i just like the look of them
and the fact they were one of the few light tanks to actually be useful AS TANKS till the end of the war..

Fantastic job chaps, I doubt it looked that good when it was new. Looks like a million bucks now!

Have you seen the AMX13 that the Austrailian Armour Museum have, its basically complete but its rusted to hell. At least the Stuart has a chance to run soon.

Very interesting, an amazing restoration. How nice to see that you're still able to source a
live Gun for these tanks. I had the idea that everything would have been deactivated by now.

The finished product looks amazing, you all did an outstanding job. Looks like you just got it fresh from the factory, even drives smooth

Al respect to you and your hard work to preserve the history. And all respect to the tank crew that was going inside this tin can.

Your doing a great job transforming a very rusty journey affair into a lovely tank. You have very lucky with the basket of the turret that is relatively intact saving a lot of time. As always you are doing a great job. Can't wait to see on the road 👍👍👍👍

Yup, radial, if it’s not leaking and burning oil, it’s either not working or not a radial.

Excellent summary video, that little bugger must be a blast to drive. Always seemed like it was the Bradley of its day.

Outstanding work chap’s and very cool the main 37mm gun still works. If Tank Overhaul was still on tv, y’all should get a episode on this tank

What a smooth runner.
Totally Brazen Chariots!!
Instantly thought of Bob Crisp tearing around North Africa commanding his 3RTR troop.

I'd say this Stuart is quite early, being an M-3 updated to A1 standards notably by removing the two-sponson wing MG's and welding blanking plates over the holes.
