For combustion vehicles, this is kinda common.However there are many possibilities.

1. A wire must’ve been making sparks which might’ve led up the engine or transmission.
2. The engine might’ve been too hot at the time which is kinda realistic but happens which also means it didn’t have enough antifreeze.
3. It could’ve been the oil. (Not really but rarely happens)

Fuel leaks are dangerous. And damaged parts that could cause a fuel leak is just as dangerous like ur rusted in half exhaust melting your fuel line behind your also fallen apart heat shield.

Crazy how the government is all about seat belt but not fire extinguisher

This happened in front of me once. Hyundai just burst into flames in front of my truck. So I pulled over and threw my fire extinguisher to them. Told my company the reason I needed a new fire extinguisher and they just said "No problem since you were helping someone."
