I totally understand the study about being less overwhelmed by lying on the floor. When I was a child, I loved playing with my toys on the floor and I remember being happy. I can’t just lay on the floor now because I would never be able to get back up. That would definitely overwhelm me. 🤦🏾‍♀️

The floor time trick works best when done in the vicinity of puppies.

The fact that he stayed in floor time is hilarious... I am a big proponent of floor time!

The fact that Stephen never got off the floor really hammers home the legitimacy of the floor study.

I totally believe that floor study. When we all went home in March 2020 because of Covid, I spent a lot of time sitting and laying on the floor. It helped me feel grounded and stabilized. I didn't think about it-just found myself doing it.

1. Lay on the floor 2. Meow at the cat nearby 3. Do not look at the cat 3. Profit because the cat makes bread on you

the eyelash mites are just part of the human microbiome, they're nothing to be concerned about. The fact they eat dead skin and excess oils means they're helping keep that area clean (though that's no excuse not to wash your face too).

Could this be the most extensive look behind Stephen's desk we ever got?

Going outside, laying in the grass, and staring up at drifting clouds or twinkling stars is the best therapy. 💕

I've been lying down on the floor for many years whenever I've been overwhelmed, nice to hear there's a study confirming it helps.

You should do more of the show lying on the floor. No joke, it was actually relaxing to watch. Just felt cozy.
edit: AWW SHUCKS! Meanwhile on the floor!

Some of my happiest moments in life came from lying under our cheerry tree, especially when they were in fruit and the boughs hung low enough to pull them down and harvest them. And of course playing on the floor with my kids, with often just consisted of me lying there while thy clambered over me.

Spraying bug spray in your face sounds like something the former guy would recommend.

Colbert lying on the ground reminded me of his The Big Questions segments.
I guess we can allow him to steal from himself and ask _himself_ some Big Questions. 🤣

As an old man (¿Is 79 old?), I sleep on the floor. As a reminder of my youth: I spent a lot of time tent camping sleeping on the ground. As a comfort in my present: getting up off the floor unassisted 5 or 6 times a day reduces my fear of falling. I recently fell in the park. Three people came to help me up. I asked them to watch my first attempt to get up. If I had success, they could go their ways with my thanks. If I failed, I would accept help.
