The end actually made me drop a tear or two. Good editing + true tragedy = sad times.

They dropped Pontiac but kept Buick AND Cadillac? Two luxury old people brands? Should have offed Buick instead

Still can't get over how Buick managed to survive

They should have closed buick. Had they kept ponticac, their lineup would have been great;

Chevy - brand that appeals to everyone (workhorse trucks, family suvs, grocery getters and family cars, a couple sportier options, etc)
Pontiac - sports cars and other vehicles that appeal to the younger crowd or whoever is into more spirited driving
Cadillac - pure luxury and comfort for a premium price
GMC - all around utilitarian (mostly workhorse trucks and mid to full sized suvs)

Instead they killed most of their sporty market and kept around Buick which is basically just a slightly shittier version of Cadillac

Damn, I'm actually pretty sad now that Pontiac is gone..

Imagine all the engineers, designers and assembly workers throughout the years... their whole company..Pontiac Pride... gone. :/

Man the G8 was a fantastic and a “actual” fantastic car from GM.

I read somewhere that in 1988, when Pontiac finally dialed in the Fiero to make it a top-notch car, Chevrolet cried and made the Fiero go away because it was taking sales away from the Corvette.

My family has always been big into Pontiac. I’ve had 2 G8 GTs(will have an M6 GXP soon enough), my stepdad has a 79 Y84 Trans Am, and my uncle has an 02 Formula Firehawk. We’ll always make sure Pontiac lives on!

Pontiac has always had a special place in my heart when it comes to cars. The first car I ever drove was a Pontiac. It was a green 1997 Montana. Sure, being a minivan, it might not be what most people think of when the subject of memorable cars is brought up, but it was memorable for me and left a good impression. It must have left a good impression on my family as well because they bought another one that was a white 98' model after the first one had to be sold.
