nice video. please tell me what does the "Z-Probe" button do? When I hit this button the Z axis moves and I can't stop it till it reaches the end of the spindle and the alarm comes on. Thanks

I have a 3018 from VEVOR, I have followed the steps up to 2min in but when I click the "idle" button nothing happens and the button doesn't seem to work. ???

my machine came totally reversed. I had to change one cable but up and down is still reversed, left and right as well and I think when I click the home button it is to the right instead left.
the machine came this way. Cannot find any instruction or video to correct this. I think it is a programming Issue but how do I do that?

Nice starter demo. When I hit send the toolpath disappears and it mills blind. The tool does move around the screen but it's not showing the material removal animation like yours. Am I missing anything?

How the machine know how big is the wood, and how deep to drill?

Newbie just got my machine... in Candle how do I know how deep the engraving will be? I'm doing a test run but don't know if my test material is thick enough because I don't know how deep the test engraving is...? Also, can you adjust the depth of engraving or any sizing in Candle or does all the sizing need to be set when the gcode is made in another app and can't be adjusted in candle?

I got an 3018 pro and what is the setting need to be on the user commands in the settings?I need some help so I can start using it thanks.Here is what I am asking when you go and click on service then go to setting click on user commands were it said button 1, 2, 3, 4 what dose it need to be set on for it to work thanks.

I have problem with mine. Every time I try to cut the Z axis goes up too much and clicks the limit switch.

What is the difference between setting the z zero using manual adjustments and a piece of paper versus using the z probe? Are they doing the same thing or do I need to do both?

I know this was posted some time back….I cannot get any version of Candle to function on a HP laptopthe grbl Laser, Control both work OK. Candle, new Acer Laptop, only apps are default with a new Win10.
Candle will not function…checked the settings file, com3. The laptop USB in use showed com3. Jog buttons and spindle did not work! Changed settings to com4, opened Candle checked connect…com4 showed.
The spindle could be started…but jog buttons..dead, no alarm or other indication showed, after connect unlocked the panel buttons changed from..”greyed” not connected to “normal higher contrast buttons.
Tried four different USB cables.none helped…still cannot use the jog buttons.
Any suggestions, help, advice would be appreciated. To tho who will ask….if grblControl is OK ..just use that!
Two reasons. I want to know if its me, the two laptops etc. I like the interface look etc of Candle.
I tried the forked 2.1, 2.2, 2.3. None worked!
