This is sort of a candle making crash course for beginners to get you headed on the right track. We overview the supplies/materials, candle making process, testing, and some other important tips. This is NOT a tutorial. However, there are several of those here on this channel. This video is more of a Candle Making 101 type ... sort of a playful lecture. So sit back, take notes, and watch multiple times if you'd like. Its best to get the basics fundamentals in your head before just diving right in.

Just a quick note ... If you're in the UK (and most of Europe) you can't sell candles that have been made up of more than one preexisting fragrance oil without it going through lab tests and have the stamp of approval. Rules on this are far more relaxed in the US.

Your candle math formula is the best! And should be learned by anyone attempting to make a candle. Its a crucial step in knowing how much wax and fo to use in your candle! Wade is the best teacher and makes it understandable. Im so glad I found Wade and his videos when I began researching the process in 2019. I watched all his videoa and took notes. Wade you are heaven scent (lol) for me. I was all over the candle world, testing fragrance oils, wicks, jars and went crazy the 1st year. Now I’m in the second year and your advice to step back, breathe and reset was the best advice I heard.
