Soda State - The Look

That was crazy.

So we were in our studio in M’s garage, doing what we do most afternoons - making music, writing records, messing with our synths and gadgets we’ve haphazardly wired together. We were onto something, it was cooking. Don’t get me wrong, we’re not the worst pair of musicians in the world, but that day we were vibing.

And then suddenly the lights were flickering, I swear my hair was standing on end, it was like we’d left our bodies. It was a rush, like falling in love or seeing in colour for the first time. Just because of the music. We’d hit some kind of melodic combination of 1’s and 0’s and we’d unlocked something. We were high. We were alive.

And there we were in Soda State.

But as we all know nothing good lasts forever and before long we came back. Back in the studio. Back in the real world, but changed. Since that day we’ve been trying to figure out how to get it to happen again, get back there and get that feeling again. Recreate the magic.
