Honeywell programmer issue/diagnosis. Boiler not turning on.

This is the quick way to find intermittent issues with heating systems. If it has this timer check for this issue.

Fixed mine by setting the time and date 👍
Never had an issue for heating before, just pressed the extra hour button and it would work.

Honeywell ST9100s. I am having problems with the heating coming on. It has been set as per instructions, comes on for a few minutes then shuts down. This is despite all of the lights being on and looking like it is working. It churns away and then no noise at all and no heat. Help!

The father in law has this system. He had problems after a power cut. The water still gets hot but not heating. I did a test as per manual to check communication between thermometer and boiler and it stated 0 so no communication. Put new batteries in it but still no go. Any ideas. Thanks

Had something similar with a Drayton LP522 on a Y plan yesterday. Heating not working independently of hot water. Linked out programmer for heating, (didn't have a spare programmer) getting 230v on White wire in wiring centre but still no heating. 3 port head was a bit naffed so changed that anyway. Turned out to be programmer fault, later realised there was no click on the heating button on programmer.

Question is, why didn't the link work, especially as I was getting 230v? Anything to do with the neutral not being connected or should I have linked out to Hw off and heating on at the same time?

When heating is set to continuous it doesn't come on. but when I press 'Once' it comes on. What could the reason be?

It's the blue capacitor that's failed. Replace it.
