City utilities will not be fixing her property. She’ll have to sue the city . I’m dealing with the same crap after they “fixed” the storm water drain last year. I’ve got a phuckin pond in my yard now. The mosquitos will love it this summer.

It's amazing how people operate completely on emotion and overruns their lack of knowledge. The entitlement on this woman is astounding as she wants her whole driveway replaced solely from the color. As a civil engineer, I can tell you your driveway entrance is the city's right of way, not your private property, and the city allows your access. City utilities has no obligation to replace your driveway, only to replace the affected area in kind.
Why was a boring machine not used? Because it's about 10x the cost than a simple 4' trench. Certain site conditions warrant boring to avoid other obstacles like other utilities.why not be grateful you live in America where you have utilities and companies upgrading infrastructure to serve your lifestyle.
