Thanks!

Hello Tim, I just discovered your channel this morning and have been watching your videos all afternoon. Love your channel and your perspective. I am in lock-step agreement with you on the Ukraine debacle, DEI, etc. I flew Harriers in the USMC a long time ago and spent 4 years as a Naval Flight Instructor. Thank you for the outstanding service you are currently providing via your channel and sharing your perspective and experience.
Semper Fi!

How many Harrier pilots does it take to change a lightbulb? One, he stands still and the rest of the world turns round!! I spent many years working with the UK harrier, miss those guys. My absolute favourite module!

im so happy that you are on DCS i use to follow your videos about transitioning to the civilian world, and now i found this..i had no idea that you were messing around DCS as well, is always amazing to see a real pilot in DCS, i come from a family of pilots myself, my grandfather was a pilot on the Portuguese air force, my father as well and since i was the black sheep of the family i was just an aircraft maintenance Sargent on the Portuguese AF for 8 years, not anymore, im a musician, music producer now, once again tx for the videos

I think the issue with inputing the wind is it was looking for it in format XXXdegrees/YYYkts, so it wanted 180/010, rather than but who needs to worry about wind, just full power and hope.... which is exactly what you want to hear a pilot

My favourite aircraft. Sadly, my 7.5 years RAF service as MTD was mostly at non-airfield bases. I never served in the real RAF and left very disappointed. Hey ho, it is what it is. Love these videos. Cheers, Sir😁

Nice job Tim! I was on ex. Lionheart looking after Harriers in a forest, 'somewhere in Germany' in the 80's. My Spartan CVRT was right next to the end of the improvised runway. Let me tell you, they're fu**in LOUD. My section was on a patrol about 600m from the perimeter. We set up a listening post and I was desperate for a piss. I moved away from the section about 20 ft and found a couple of Belgium troops watching in the direction of where we'd been. Anyway, we disarmed them and 'took them prisoner'. On returning a bloke was doing the rounds asking if anyone wanted a flight in a Harrier. (It was endex then). I really wanted to do it. I asked him how much it was. He told me it was a tenner for a 10 min flight, which was a good deal of dosh to an SAC then. I then asked where the dosh was going. He said, 'to the officers mess'. To which I replied, 'no way are they getting my money.
Biggest regret. Never mind my nose, cut off my head from pride. Learned from that mate. Grab the opportunity in front of you.

Lowestoft, I remember that day, I was on guard duty. We'd spent the previous week prepping it for displays, new engine, lovely 20 Sqn artwork on the fin. I said to the guy I was on guard with, 'oh shit, I helped fit the wing and fin to that', he said, 'i prepped the engine'. Soon after it became clear it was Tony's error, phew!

So slick its sick. Great vertical landings, I can't believe these are your first attempts without swimming. Nobody makes their first jump, not even Neo. I remember a retired RAF 1st Sqn Harrier pilot telling me they'd come back to the boat with 90 seconds of fuel remaining. I'm surprised any of them lived past 40 years old with the coronary-inducing pucker factor of that. For DCS folks learning the Harrier you may want to remember to turn ALT warning off when you start, otherwise you will be driven completely bonkers and end up rambling to yourself in Youtube videos. You wouldn't want that to happen :) Cheers Tim. Sometime you might want to try out how bizarrely different the AV-8B's TGP controls are from the other DCS jets (Hornet/Viper) ?

USMC F4s in real life, usually fly the F18 module. This makes me want to give the Harrier module a go. 😂
It's all about enjoying the ride, and you do! Always loved our Brit exchange guys!

I can only guess at the words per minute of your inner monologue when task based in everyday life. Very entertaining
