My favorite thing about Yoimiya is that, during this story quest, if you listen to the dialogue when running between quest points... She actually asks Aether if he's found his sister. When Paimon tells her what happened, she offers genuinely optimistic words of encouragement. Suggesting that, at journey's end, surely he and his sister will come together once more. "You're siblings, after all."

Nobody else has done that for Aether. Seems like everybody else just focuses on their own journey, but Yoimiya is such a genuinely caring person that she asks after Aether, too.

I cried with this. My brother was unable to walk since a very young age, an he died a few years ago, being only 24. Seeing that child running and being happy is how I like to imagine him now, running and jumping all over. In fact, I actually dreamed last night with us playing when we were children.

This is the type of content and feeling that we play Genshin for. I felt so touched and moved by this story, that I even pulled for Yoimiya, and somehow I got her within only one 10 pull. Now, every time I play with her, it will be like I’m playing with my brother too

I am not an emotional person... but when Arashani took Avin's hand and she stood up and started to walk I legit got teary-eyed.
Maybe it's just a cutscene from a videogame but I think it shows very well the human spirit and our will to press forward despite the odds.

This was arguably one of my favourite cutscenes in the entire game. It was so beautiful thank you so much Genshin Impact for such a magical adventure

I’m a disabled person, and I’m often really hesitant with depictions of disabled people in media being the “charity case” for protagonists. I was initially very concerned about where this quest was gonna go and whether or not it was going to be about us feeling “sorry” for her. This quest almost went there on a couple of occasions, but I have to say that I’m quite impressed with how it turned out. Just like how Yoimiya wasn’t disappointed that it was “just a dream”, the girl was encouraged not to be “disappointed” with waking up to reality. I think in many ways the quest dodged an awkward bullet here, and I’m glad that the lesson wasn’t that there was something “wrong” with her disability, but her perspective itself. The story made me cry.

I love how Yoimiya is the only human character in the game with a normal and happy life. She is not a big celebrity like Barbara, not rich like Ningguang, and not as politically powerful as Ayato. She is a nobody compared to them but nevertheless she has a complete family and her happiness is genuine unlike others who live a problematic and complicated life. That’s why she is the best girl.

This story quest was such a nice peaceful respite from the bittersweet tragedies of the past character quests and world quests. The lore has been heavy in the desert and Baizhu along with most sumeru characters had quests with heavier themes so having Yoimiya give us a happy quest was something we needed. The calm before the inevitable storm that is Fontaine, the nation right below Celestia...

The idea for Yoimiya to come to Sumeru was brilliant, because in Sumeru children were 'forced' to grow up and forget their childhood memories while there was Yoimiya, an adult who could understand the thoughts of children. As a Yoimiya main since her first banner, I'm really happy because Hoyo gave her the best and wholesome cutscene ✨

This story quest was one of the best Ive ever played, is different to other characters story quest where the main plot is "Hey traveler, help me solve this problem" or "Help me defeat this bad guy" almost every story quest is like that, Nahida quest, Eula quest, Alhaitham quest, Zhongli quest, Raiden quest, etc, and Yoimiya have this story quest where the main plot is "Hey, wanna go and chill and enjoy sumeru?" Thats what we needed, and Yoimiya is the best character to this story quest since she's a totally kindhearted person

This scene just fit Yoimiya so well considering her love of fireworks and the joy of children.
