Well, knowing Valve is making less money this year is very good news. Hopefully the trend continues and Steam finally lower their revenue split to something decent, otherwise, game developers and publishers are only going to keep increasing their monetization because of how initial sales aren't worth it.

Would it be wrong if i suggested that Nintendo should make a deal with GoG, since they seem to have the infrastructure and technique to get old games running, even though it would not be on their own platform. They might just get surprised with how many titles they would be able to sell.

I wouldn't call those releases actual games as much as shameless low quality asset flip low content cash grabs.

Classic Nintendo, two steps forward, two steps back. That premium subscription was a stupid idea though, basically handing ammo to Nintendo.

That "rely on legitimate sales" bit rubbed me the wrong way considering we'll likely never have the option of legitimately purchasing the majority of those roms.

I'd happily throw money at nintendo if they made their entire back-catalogue available on the e-shop. But they don't seem interested in most of their older titles.

We all know low steam stales is mainly linked to quality. At least half of the indie "games" on there should never be played by anyone.

so the reason why i haven't bought any new games in a while is. non of the new games is interesting enough. so im stuck With my old games, Like WoW (unsubbed atm) Warframe - WoT and WoWs. and i stopped pre order Games Years ago. Glad i listened to TB (rip you are missed) and when i look at games, a while after ppl have bough them. there is usually to many bugs and stuff that make the game unplayble. so most of the time i might just watch a playthrough on youtube. so i end up never buying the game in the end. witch i might never have bought it anyway.

I generally would not touch "mobile game" with long stick... I know there are 'good games' but its just microtransaction and freemium hell.
BUT if Apple Arcade would promise me, that I pay this sub and I would NEVER have to pay extra in any of those game, that there would never been payed boosters and extra customization for $ thrown in my face behind each corner ... Maybe I would consider trying to use my phone to play something.
And I am iOS developer, I do apple apps (not games) for living. I spent 5-8h a day playing games on PC but have no single game on my iPhone XSMax and for now no will to even try.

Nintendo shouldn't erase ROMs from games they don't bother to offer in their ever-shrinking e-shop, even if they hold the IP, heck there are games which are entangled with more than one company that it's almost impossible for Nintendo to re-release (like N64's Goldeneye).
