I really hope Telo succeeds. Telo is a great companion vehicle for Aptera to handle any needs for me.

PS: Mini trucks in the USA is dead due to EPA rules which encouraged huge wheel bases.

I don't care who, but I'm impatiently waiting for a "90s-era small" truck EV. Old Ford Ranger-size work truck, not the modern giant showoff fake trucks.

I'm really digging these start ups focusing on efficiency!

Love little trucks. I hope Telo gets their truck into production. Micah from EbikeSchool bought a mini truck from China a year or so ago. I don't think it's street legal, they use it on his father's land, but they're pretty cool. I hope that there will be more companies making mini truck Evs.

$50K is still a lot in my book. Could they reduce the price by offering a one-motor FWD version? Also, I could easily do without some fancy modern gimmicks like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control etc. As little touchscreens as possible, too - they are distracting and dangerous.

SO MUCH closer to that dream of Ev Caminos and Rancheros

Telo seems awesome... really rooting for them. I would also love to see an "Apteruck"!! as a two seater, teardrop solar powered mini pickup with, like, 500 miles of range (assuming a 50% hit from the 1000mi range "coupe" version because of the bed, and the additional wheel needed in the back to handle the load)

$50k? Nope. If it’s under $28k and sign me up!

Pretty cool truck
I wonder how frontal impact safety is with that snub nose ?

I have a Telo preorder, but I would say that the odds of Telo making it to production are like 1 in a 100.

Hey Drew, great channel, been watching for a couple years. I am interested in the Telotruck, however, I have a comment about design. I'm familiar with front bumper requirements for NHTSA, the 2.5 mph pendulum in center, the 1.5 mph pendulum on front corners, and the 2.5 mph horizontal front "bumper" test. I could see with their current design that this could pass those tests that were designed specifically to lower damage/cost of low speed collisions. However, as a cyclist, motorcyclist and pedestrian, the front design with the front tires exposed concerns me, specifically if you are driving that vehicle and hit a pedestrian, cyclist or motorcycle on one of the front corners, even at relatively slow speeds, I believe it is likely the person hit is going under the wheel, which would not be good for that person. I understand keeping to the design principal of being as small as a mini. However, not at the sake of pedestrian safety. Don't get me wrong, this is way better than standard pickups with 4-5 ft tall front hoods. However, even if this meets the letter of the law, what would be the harm in a vehicle that is a few inches longer than a mini? It is still going to be shorter than any other pickup/suv in the market, and crazy easy to park. This would be the only thing keeping me from buying this vehicle even though I live in the boonies. By the way, do you know if they are planning to use the NACS adapter? Appreciate what you do and keep up the great work, love getting your shorts on the progress.

I really miss my truck and hoping Telo makes it but honestly I need the Telo to do these two things
1) all seats fold flat so you can potentially camp in the cab
2) on board generator that has 110v plug that has at least a 2.4w output and it would be really great if they also had an RV 240v plug like the ford lightning. This makes it easy to use as a home generator in a power outage or to dry dock with a small travel trailer.

I like the form factor, but I think the front end and that pill indent on the side may take a while to get use too.

If it succeeds also add a 4 wheel independent suspension model with a motor that's not sprung weight.

Its been really unfortunate the effect the large SUV/Truck form factor has had on the US vehicle market. I think the Ranger was one of the most solid vehicles all around that has ever been made, high utility, good efficiency, light weight, small form factor, relatively simple to maintain. If Ford would have made a modern electric version of the old sized ranger from the early 2000's I know for sure I would buy one in a heartbeat. Hopefully Telo can capture some segment of the market and do well enough to stick around, maybe that will teach the larger companies there was a market they have been sorely neglecting for the last decade.

I'd like to see how many larger people can fit into the Telo. I believe the Telo has almost the same seating space as many trucks except for the behemoth trucks. My 2013 Tacoma is a nice size but it doesn't really have that much space for people. I'd like to see the estimated interior space to challenge those who feel the Telo's seating space isn't large enough for too many oversized Americans. As for typical large trucks, their overall size is huge because of their oversize wheels/tires and all the space required for gas and diesel engines plus all the extra garbage in the engine compartment for AC, filters, radiators, etc.

I had an Avalanche I love the mid-gate for 4x8 & such hauling while keeping the flexibility for passengers! I miss that about that truck. I would love one if the seats aren't too high (and there's enough rear leg room) as that could be a problem for people I routinely drive around. Ground clearance is not so much of a concern for a truck like this to me.

Small runs high costs. High sticker. Small R3 is great at 25k

If I used truck capability continuously, I would _love_ a vehicle like a Telo. Since I only use it occasionally, I’d like a powered trailer I would guide with my Aptera.
