Interestingly in south of Iran where zagros mountains expands to, people from villages around there always talked about seeing giants. My grandparents generation used to talk about their experiences seeing them with their own eyes. We heard a lot of stories about this.

Chinese have list of "Dragon Kings" that ruled in ancient times. They were also long lived with decreasing life spans as time goes on.

I remember watching a TV show at the hospital about this when I was about to go under for my hernia repair surgery. Those emerald tablets always remind me of that.

The more I learn about hidden ancient past, the more I am leaning towards the story of the great battle in heaven between Tiamat and Marduk (described as planets) The evidence of creatures of gigantic stature all over this planet and its abundance of gigantic ancient megaliths that litter this planet.

Maybe there were giants and dragons and creatures of immeasurable size called Titans. Maybe we were all 1 Mega planet Tiamat in the far past and it was big enough to sustain such sizes of life. Maybe the sumerian epic stories were true and Tiamat was destroyed leaving the asteroid belt fragments and placing one of its biggest fragments, Earth, into it's current orbit and a fraction of the size Tiamat was.

This could explain a lot such as size of ancient creatures, global cataclysms, devolution and muxh more. There were times mentioned when Jupiter and Saturn ruled our skies. Maybe we were much closer to them at one time. The longer I look, the stronger I look towards the possibility that our origins may not even lie as third rock from the sun!

Always been interested in the Kings list tablets. I remember researching though that the translation could also be interpreted differently, mainly the amount of years was drastically shorter something like 15-35 years. For example 36, 000 years actually meant 36 years. Possibly a transliteration issue, however it’s not conclusive because of the wording for some reason. Does anyone have more information on this alternate translation? It’s been too long and I don’t remember all the details.

Their age declined or life span declined because the longer they lived on earth...they where bound by its cycles not letting them live as long. I believe that's how these same gods traveled the world...seeded continents with humans and other creatures and beings from old, and had many names and cultures in these continents while being the same gods just different names through out time and history.

They talked about how long they ruled specifically, not how long they lived...so my theory is that they are telling us how long they ruled here on earth to OUR perspective, and that since they were (are) a spacefaring species/race and probably traveled at speeds at or close to or over the speed of light, they effectively time travelled thousands of years into the future each time they traveled. So they had a "normal" lifespan (however long that is) but to keep records for "earth time" they needed to account for all those tens of thousands of years that would pass by... Just a thought.

What if it was a tradition where someone not only took over the throne when the King died, but also took over his reputation, history and name? Maybe they was well aware of that we reincarnate, and could tell who the King had reincarnated to?

If the translation of the time period of King's reigns are wrong, then they consistently would be astronomical, given they come from the same text. They wouldn't be 36, 000 years at the beginning and then only 65 years at the end. That order of magnitude divergence of quanta within a numerically consistent framework does indicate a lifespan steadily decreasing over millennia. I believe elsewhere, the texts make reference to human lifespans being genetically limited to a maximum of 120 years, which eerily it actually is today.

The Sumerian King List is recorded and decipherable with a mathematical formula based on a sexagesimal numbering system. I’ve seen two scholars come to similar conclusions about the way these numbers ought to be read. Their numbered place holders is based on different formula than ours today.
