It’s not anything bad that noise just happens when you press the trigger all the way down really hard

I don't even see this as a defect. I play a lot of Astros playroom and have that exact sound, but never thought of it as defective.

You got a super strong Kratos, congrats man.

Mine does this too but it’s supposed to do that it’s just the plastic of the trigger touching the controller while it vibrates

I have the same issue. Also doing the astro dualsense demo L2 makes a different and stronger noise (more rattling) than r2
UPDATE: Contacted sony support, sent them the video of the issue but they said there is nothing to worry about the noise of the trigger

It's even louder than that on Death loop and R6S, but i think thats normal it's just plastic hitting plastic really fast

Sounds like a wasp when it’s trapped inside of a jar

Just got my new PS5 today. Have the same issue. Changed trigger vibration intensity to Weak to resolve this issue.

Just started playing with my new 5.
This sound came while using a katana on cyberpunk.
Thought my controller was destroyed on day 2, but apparently this is intentional.
I must say that it feels completely wrong to have such a sound during gameplay.

This happened to me both in this game and games like Spider-Man Miles Morales. The solution was to just turn off and on the controller again. Dunno why it happens

I just got this issue today. I have been playing Unbound and never heard the noise. Now i hear it every time i drive. I'll hit the R2 button and hear responsive feedback clicks from L2. I wasnt going to but i think I'll send it to Sony

I returned my controller. They have a revised controller that don't break as easily

Mine does the same thing, I don't understand if it's normal or not but it's kinda annoying

I have 2 controllers, the one that came with the ragnorok bundle does this same annoying sound with the R2 button, my other black controller I bought doesn’t make that noise. It’s annoying af.

mine makes a noise too but not that loud. But probably cause your game is on mute so it sounds louder. I’ve never thought anything of it. It’s just a vibration

Its not defective. You gotta consider those vibrations are so hard that its normal it makes those sound. Wit headphones that wont be an issue. I know its sounds dumb but the idea is inmersion and with that it comes not only touch but also audio inmersion.

Is there some sort of a clicking sound when you press on the triangle button? I have this similar issue as well.
