I also have plans for a horror theme mod called "Secret Encounters". Idea is to rather than adding a single entity that spooks the players constantly, is to have multiple various entities and mechanics which arent actively chasing players. Instead they will only activate and occurs when player does a specific thing. Planning on using in-game achievements as triggers.
2 ideas i can share is:
"When player kills an iron golem" > "something is off, as if this iron stayed alive. It yearns back to humanoid form"

"Successfully return from the nether... and bring back someone with you"

Disclaimer. I am not actively developing this as im currently occupied by administration of my server. But once that stabilise i should be able to work out the deep code and start adding new features myself

So basically, You should watch the Lobotomy Archives video if you want the connection between the In Your World mod and the Silence or Lobotomy Archives mod.
In essence, your brain is fucking with you, or someone did something to the player's brain to fuck with them to try and "correct" their behavior via lobotomy, and somehow, this entity came out of that. This entity (the in your world entity) wants us to be the hero to his story.
Or at least, that's what I gleaned from the videos and the mod itself.
