If I may be so bold, and with all the respect in the world, as an ex-guitarist who switched to bass I noticed something "funny" about your picking motion. It's all downstrokes during the verses and then a rather wide side-to-side motion during the chorus, both holding the pick close to the edge. Missing is the tight pick control that lead guitarists use during solos (i.e. playing one string at a time).

I'm sure there are all sorts of individual styles, but in general people tend to hold the pick - what I think of as "vertical" - it's really horizontal, i.e. *perpendicular* to the fretboard. Again, most people I know/see cover most of the pick with their finger(s) and thumb so that they can keep the pick steady, always "vertical", staying perpendicular to the fretboard, while it moves side-to-side in very small, discrete movements, although eighth notes are often just downstrokes.

You might try this and see if it doesn't feel more comfortable, like something you can use. Maybe even play a little lead guitar. Hey, it can't be too difficult - have you seen the guys that do it! (Remember, _I_ was a lead guitarist, heh-heh...)

I don’t play it like this, I play open g and d and at 2 I don’t know how to say it but it creates an echo when both strings play at the same time. I am no expert and I am thirteen have a nice day👍🏼
