I am aware that I've already made a comment on this, but this story needs telling.

Back in April of this year (2024 for future reference), I converted back to Christianity after several years of private, secretive practice of Nordic Neopaganism. Before _that_ I was atheist, and before even that, I was somewhat Christian. The thing is, my family never taught me anything about Christianity, we never even went to church, and eventually I lapsed. Here's the thing, back in my pagan days, around the Christmas season, I'd pull up and listen to this exact song. Reawaken Hymns. I never paid any attention to the channel name, not even after I came back into the faith, until now. _Reawaken_ Hymns. It can't be a coincidence that YouTube recommended a video by a channel called *_Reawaken_* Hymns to a lapse Christian. God is good.

This is still my favorite hymn/carol of all time, and I'm glad I discovered it so long ago. God bless you sir, I hope you have a fantastic day.

Edit since I missed some details:
I attribute three things to my conversion: M meeting one of my "gods" I used to worship who ended up being a literal demon (If anyone is curious, it was Loki), a friend of mine, who is a son of missionaries no less, speaking to me about Christ when I came to a faith crisis in the wake of the demon visit, and finally, this song. The lyrics have stuck with me for so long and through so many seasons and ages of my life that the beginning two lines of the third stanza, which I have geeked out about in my other comment on this video, have essentially burned themselves into my head. The day I found this song was the day pagan me stopped hating Christianity for literally no reason. The day I understood it was the day I found God. Hallelujah.
