Crucial P3 Plus 1TB in my laptop and Corsair MP600 PRO XT1TB in my tower. Very satisfied.
Not very expensive at all, for the first I paid only 42 € on Amazon and the second 80 €.
It has a built-in cooler, on the motherboard, it is very cool !
On day if I have enough money I'll buy an Optane SSD Intel....Arf...

I got lucky buying an "On Sale" Adata XPG Gammix S70 Blade 1TB (at $48) that is cheaper than most of these, yet faster than all of these. Timing of purchase is key.

Why not going with the P5 Plus and the Firecuda 530? Why using the older and way slower version?

Don't be fooled by the Gen 4 label. The 1TB Kingston NV2 "Gen 4" SSD is a sheep (Gen 3) in wolf's (Gen 4) clothing. It is the slowest Gen 4 NVMe SSD I could find in the current market with a mean (advertised read+write/2) sequential speed (MSS) of just 2800 MB/s. That is 11% slower than the next slowest Gen 4 SSD. In fact, there are at least 45 Gen 3 ("sheep") SSDs on the market currently that perform faster than the Gen 4 ("wolf") Kingston NV2. It is objectively not a good value relative to other market options. For example (one of many), the MSI Spatium M461 performs 64%+ FASTER (4600 MSS) for a (currently) 6%+ LOWER PRICE.
