There are three kinds of Jihaad:

Jihaad al kuffar (Struggle against disbelievers), jihaad al shaytaan (Struggle against evil in society), and jihaad an nafs (Struggle against evil in yourself).

Jihaad al kuffar is done to remove oppression or repel aggression, it is not to convert people. That is the role of dawah (proselytizing). You can not force anyone to become muslim, as the Quran says "there is no compulsion in religion". Also Jews and Christians are free to practice their religion.

i just want to add some details, about the Mahdi,
He's not the Messiah but a person that will unite people before the second coming of the Messiah (or Jesus as a Prophet in islamic faith)

Also, Ma-hdi Literally means: someone who was corrupt, then overcome himself (Great Jihad) and came back to God's way... that transition called "Hedi", and "Ma" is like a pronoun in arabic that return on God, since we Muslim belive he's the one that trigger this transition in people based on the nature of their innerself...

When the Mahdi will start his "External Jihad" on corruption and win to some extent, the first who will fight him is his own people (the corrupt muslims), then non-muslims, yet he will be victorious... this will anger the Antichrist who was watching in the shadows and will make him go out... At first he will claim to be the Messiah, then a God among men. With the great powers he have and the due to the hard times of those days... many will follow him... The Mahdi and his followers will be overpowered, in numbers and nature of weapons... at one night he will be praying with his follower and asking God to enlighten his path against such great chellenge...
Then God will answer and send his messenger "Issa" or Jesus the true Messiah to decend on earth and kill the Antichrist (Dajjal in Arabic) in the Great War.

you cant overcome trauma without integration bro. This "i'm brave and fight evil" is IMO a huge cope people who don't want to do their shadow work use to skip it and then project the same "evil" in them to the world and then try to destroy it there. It's fundamentaly unwise action.
You become a better warrior by being 100% honest about what you see when you look within and when you look outside of yourself and truly understaning it.
