While I can understand that 18$ is not the smallest price, it bums me that people don’t appreciate the hard work and dedication which is behind a good virgin olive oil. Not to mention the costs to produce it and natural resources, which by the way are scarcer every year.
I find it also ironic that people consider 18$ too much for a healthy and valuable product which actually can last a few weeks, but are willing to pay the same price for 2 coffees. Or other expensive unhealthy crap.

Stick with American made olive oil. America has some really good soil for growing really great olives. And the great thing about American made olive oil… is that it won’t sit in the warehouse over in Tuscany and then get on a boat to travel all the way over here and then set it another warehouse here in United States before it’s actually delivered to the grocery store and it’s already lost half of its potency.

I have come to conclusion that if you want really 100 % evoo buy straight from the source. I get mine delivered from Greece or turkey, Lebanon. I get through connection such as friends whose family lives on those places. However, I can say the best I got so far is from West Bank Palestine 🇵🇸. For 5 years I do not buy any olive oil from big bucks.
