Best ending ever! I howled out loud and replayed that scene several times.

These two idiots think they're the wolves, when in reality, they're two fluffy rabbits. Ray is about to paint the jungle with their blood.

Two sayings: 1) enthusiasm is no replacement for capability. 2) beware the old man in a world where men die young.

Both sayings reflect this scene perfectly.

I loved this ending. At first I was really scared and thought these guys were hitmen sent by the biker VP who had caught up to Ray and were going to do what him had done to so many others - especially when the one guy asks how long Ray had been a taxi driver, that almost sounded like they were making sure they had the right target. But when they start to talk like just a couple of dirtbags out for trouble, the tone completely shifts and you know Ray is gonna body them both.
The whole series Ray acts like he doesn't like violence, like its just a job, rationalizing it to himself, the writer, and his therapist. He moves away to protect his family and does his best to leave it all behind him. But in this scene Ray stops pretending - for his sake and ours as well. He loves it, always did. What a show!

I got the chills when Ray's expression went from calm to maniac, I then screamed with laughter when I started to recognize the song and when he gave us the final look. These two idiots thought they had found a poor victim, but they didn't realize that this alone and older man was not the victim in this situation, they were.

Discovered Mr Inbetween last week, binged it in three days! Fucking love this ending, got to be the best ever imo. I keep replaying the last 5 mins just to see it again! Such a good character :)

I love how that agonizingly slow lead-up to the end makes you almost forget who Ray is and you actually believe he might be done for. Then he looks at the camera and grins, and reminds you who he really is.

Have never watched a show that has been as entertaining as Mr Inbetween. One moment its a gut punch of personal drama and the next its brutal crime drama with no real clear indication of whats coming next all of it beautifully acted and written.

Honestly still makes me feel giddy, the suspense leading up to this moment, having the reality of the situation slowly dawn on you and feeling like this might be the tragic end for Ray, who's only just starting to put his life together, only for him to look straight down the camera with that mad fucking smile as if to say: "nah mate, not that kinda show..." Sensational.
