When your son asks: Why do I have to call him uncle, isn’t he just your friend?
The friend in question:

This one choice gave Ray one of the most clutch, ride or die kinda homies in the series. So awesome.

From being enemies to being best mates. Brilliant.

The level of confidence Ray has to hand a gun back to a guy who'd kidnapped him just hours earlier. Guy has street-smart instincts like a shark's got teeth.

Just when you thought you understood Raymond, this scene highlights you barely scratch the surface of his complexity.

That final look back like it’s too good to be true and he’s waiting to get shot still lol.

Handing the dude a gun by the barrel with the gun pointing back at himself is about as clear as a symbolic "we're cool" gets

It's basically an unofficial hitmen work union looking out for eachother

This was the best series to come out of Australia in a long time. I loved the way it showed a rawer grittier side of Sydney people. The conversations between ray and his best mate are so true of true Aussie mates……. “Moist”

What an excellent scene from an absolutely, excellent series.
Mr Inbetween is pure quality.

I liked Dave's little glance over the shoulder at the end. He did just turn his back on a notorious hitman after all.

Dave earned Rays respect. TWICE Dave got Ray and after him sharing similar paths in terms of getting a job done and "nothing personal but its just business" it was awesome to see that even Ray knows its hard to get blokes like that in their field.

When they laugh over the "team up" with Bobby had my dying laughing! Professional to professional laughing about dealing with amateurs.
I cried when Dave died.

Imagine how grateful you would be when that child is handed to you and you realise you could very well have been dead without the mercy of one man. No wonder he became so loyal to Ray,

Respect was mutual for each other, and it showed with the banter they were having in the car

I couldn’t help but think about people talking about near death experiences about how good their next meal and other common occurrences felt. Imagine this man, a hardened criminal, escaping death purely based on the mercy of the extremely capable potential killer. Only for him to get a new car out of it then with that experience right at the surface of his core chemicals he goes to see his kid being born.

This show is something special.

Man just finished this series it's so good. That last episode had me in tears. Especially since alzhiemers and demita and Parkinsons disease have taken several of my family members and watching him let his brother go in peace with a medical assistant suicide killed me. Watch the show you won't regret. And I love gaz great mate even if he likes the pee pee tapes 😅
