Archer's NX-01 Enterprise has been recreated in Space Engineers! This is honestly one of the best Star Trek versions of the ship I have seen in the last few years. It's hard to create Star Trek Starships in Space Engineers, but the team behind this one have done a fantastic job.

Refit was S.S Enterprise. The pod in the center, back between the nacelles, is a warp governor to equalize the warp bubble signature around the ship. That is a fantastic design! I love it! Now, let's see if they do a refit!

The "pod thing" at the back is a Symmetrical Warp field Governor. The lore behind it is basically: because the NX class is the first high-warp capable ship, some of the tech for a ship this size isn´t flushed out. Due to the fact that the warp coils are assembled in a 7-6-5 (or 6-5-4, I can´t remember) setup, meaning on it´s own the warp field would be asymmetrical. We do actually see this in the episode where Trip gets pregnant: the warp field graphic is shown to be a tiny bit asymmetrical even before the cloaked ship enters it. So the Pod at the back was constructive to give a further point of measurement between the nacelles, so that the computer system insite can adjust the warp field on the fly.
If you look at the NX-Refit class, you´ll notice the pod at the back is gone: in universe, the reasoning is that technology had advanced far enough to no longer need the thing.

the nx-01 enterprise had 2 phascannons, spaceial torpedos, and if i remeber correctly it was refit with a single forward facing photon torpedo launcher durring the zindy stuff

the main issue with star trek stuff for space engineers, is the fact that none of them use weapon mods for ships

and or, they just make a shell and make other people finish it
