I was actually tense bcuz I didn’t wanted to go outside running for jog.. but now I’m feeling very good that I can do it in home!!

I’m doing the couch to 5K running on the spot whilst I’m stuck at home for a few weeks awaiting surgery. I wanted to boost my cardio. Let me tell you - I feel like I’ve done a hiit workout running on the spot on that programme. My whole body aches too - so I’m somehow working a huge set of muscles. After only three weeks, my body is getting so much muscle and tone. Highly recommended! I have stairs up to my apartment and would get out of breath taking them - not any more! You really can get a great cardio workout running on the spot - so convenient to do it at home and at any time I want to (and I don’t have to dress up - I literally do it in my undies and trainers ha!) Like the video says, you can run anywhere you are!

Im 62 and have done weights all my life in some form, but now im really loving all this type of stuff, even walking on spot marching etc...
And calenstetics planks many more things, , i get more enjoyment from not using equipment now, i think some equipment is well overrated. ..

Just a quick tip . Add a weight vest and/or run longer and/or higher bpm ( preferably with a metronome ) if u feel u have plateaued 😊

Doing this every day for a week and giving results here (not timing myself just gonna listen to music and run in place as long as i want ill show how much time i spend in the updates also not measuring my waist just gonna say what i can see! also ill put how many calories i burn the calorie burn count is from my health app so it may be off a bit!) I may run in place more than once a day so ill add a pt. 2 of whatever day it happens on!!
Day 1: Ok so today i got in 14:01 minutes of running in place. I burned 49.4 calories and took 1, 396 steps. Obviously no shaping on my waist or legs today.. i dont run often but walk ALOT so i have no pains from running. i definitely was trying to learn how to control my breathing so thats good. End of day 1 update!
Day 2: About the same as day 1 no changes i did half a hour today! Burnt 97.5 calories and took 2247 steps
Day 3: Still no changes that i can see i did 17 minutes today burned 51.4 calories my steps arent updating so im not sure how many steps
Day 4: Did 10 minutes today burnt 41.2 calories and took 1, 093 steps still no shaping
Day 5: only got in 7 minutes today since im having bad allergies but i forgot to hold my phone but based on the other info i probably took about 950 steps and probably about 30 calories
Day 6: went for 25 minutes today burnt 67 calories and took 2, 002 steps still no changes sadly
Day 7: Went for a hour today still no shaping and i forgot to hold my phone so cant really update anything else
Summary: I definitely get more shaping and have lost more weight doing cold exposure (Cold showers) doing that i probably dont loose pounds but definitely inches fall away, i cant say i would recommend the running in place so here are some similar benefits ive got from taking cold showers this week: First of all my skin is glowing that has nothing in common with what running gives you just thought id mention, Ive lost about 4 inches this week the scale doesn’t change much but thats fine, It also helps you learn to control your breathing just never go full under cold water with your head at first when you get in there are some medical risks because blood rushes to that area, I honestly tend to move more when i take cold showers vs hot since it boosts my mood, another random thing is how moisturized my hair is from taking cold showers. End of the summary i can answer questions abt cold showers if you want to start!

54 and started this exercise in my weight lifting and I did it for at least about 45 minutes off and on I like it it really gets the heart going get your lungs going.

Idea cadence is 180 steps a minute if a runner ie 3 steps a second. App store has metronomes. Theres play lists of songs that are that tempo.

Run outdoors people listen to the birds listen to the wind blowing through the leaves while jogging slowly its extremely good for your mental health too

I’m not here to lose fat, I’m here to increase my fitness and stamina, since I want to be a nurse, I will have to be on my feet a lot. Is this a good exercise to do even if I’m not looking to lose weight?😊

I been exercise since grade school I’m 51 now and prefer running on the treadmill or outdoor it just work for me but do you ✌🏽
