😳 1:24 - My entire perspective shifted entirely in just a few seconds… John 14:27 popped my mind - and I just had to go read the whole of 14… so much reassurance while fighting the good fight that I didn’t even understand till this moment… as a 23 year old - it’s so difficult to not think about the how the world would react to us and vice versa in the way we live and do things especially in this age of the prosperity gospel… This consolation show be heard by more honestly because it’s difficult to fight the good fight especially when your allies are the ones likely to prosecute you… I’ve been a Christian all my life, but I believe my journey start here. Thank you for this ❤

This is perhaps the biggest reason today why people deconstruct their faith.

I almost did it myself. The church I grew up in was 100% *not* a prosperity church - but even in that circle people so much talked about the good things that come from Christianity and hardly ever the bad. It wasn't the "happy, healthy, wealthy" argument prosperity preachers make, it was just a failure to talk about counting the costs of being a true follower of Christ. So maybe in some form that is prosperity but in my upbringing I think it was just a failure to incorporate the entirety of the truth of what it means to be a Christian.

He does have a purpose though. Like he divided up the church: teachers, evangelicals, etc. like with me. Because of all I’ve gone through, what I’ve learned of God and how I speak of Him to others is what my ministry is. I was delivered from suicide and experienced the tragedy of suicide first hand. And while that’s terrible and horribly dark, God was merciful and kind in my pain and anger. And has blessed me beyond measure.

And out of that is my ministry for the Glory of God: to minister to those planning or have attempted suicide, or grieving a suicide, those with severe dispair, depression, anger, those who feel no one listens to them, outcast, feel worthless, lost, and ashamed. Those who have no love, who feel they deserve all the burdens they have…The least of these. Why? Because I’ve been there. I was and am one of them. But God is here. And gave me a purpose. To say He DOESN’T HAVE A WONDERFUL PURPOSE IS A LIE! He has a purpose for every life. But that doesn’t always include money, power, etc. you need to think.

It’s made me love and appreciate Him more, and love people more, be bold, humble and patient. All for the glory of the Lord who literally saved my life; “God works all things for the good of those who love Him.” THATS THE BLESSED LIFE! Not how most people think of it or how you’re referring to it.

As for the martyrs. Yeah that sucks. But it says martyrs are given a name and reward far greater than other children of God who die in Christ. And those who were martyred didn’t care. They did it for the Glory of God. And when they went Home, their rewards were immeasurable. I hope this makes sense and you guys think about it.

Stop telling people that repent means 'stop sinning' to be saved.

Repent means to change ones mind, that's all one needs to do to be saved, change your mind and trust in Jesus.

Ray has been such a great inspiration and example for me on how to share The Gospel with empathy for the lost instead of indifference. Through Ray, God has softened my heart. Ray does such a good job of sharing the hard truth in genuine love in such a simple way. I'm so thankful for how God uses him!
