That isn't really a bug. 3DS and Wii U had the same (But quite lower) limit of games/software you could have on the home screen. We mostly know about those limits because of people pirating as much as they can on those systems and then complain about the limit online.

I really find the Nintnedo Switch UI 2, 000 games limit really interesting to me. I currently have 112 games. Obviously that is nowhere near the amount, but it really funny to me how someone spent possibly over a million dollars (Not including in eShop saIes) just for this to happen. I kind of wished that we had footage of it because it feels like a issue that only 2 or 3 would have with thier Nintendo Switch. Maybe the person got every single possible Switch game. I renember seeing a video from a few years ago on how someone got every single physical Nintendo Switch game, but I highly doubt that it is the same guy.
Edit: "Possibly over a million dollars" is incorrecred. My brain couldn't handle simple math. 2, 000 games would be around $120K. (Credit goes to unused channel in the replies to this comment)

Makes sense they announced the Animal Crossing direct at a general direct and it was only like a week after the general direct

I had an issue recently where my games I had in the re-download area was disappearing as I was downloading my games on my oled so I addressed it with Nintendo and it took a bit and they fixed it

I hate when they say say day when first announced and then as Prime said delaying certain versions, but if they take their time and make it good and do follow through with releasing it then ok! But still a bummer

Well an easy way to fix the issue is if you have more than 2000 games for some reason then you could always get another switch.

I ran into this problem with the games disappeared once I went over 2000 game! It does slow down the load upload of the icons. I've remedied the solution by owning multiple switch consoles
