As an Astros fan...I would like to graciously thank, all the Detroit Tiger fans, for their utmost respect and kindness towards the Astros organization. I would feel a sense of loss as well if I were a Detroit Tiger fan, when JV left. (I felt that same emotion, when the Astros lost Nolan Ryan)...so I get it. But you Detroit Tiger fans, have been nothing but gracious and kind. From a native Houstonian, and forever Astros fan...I would like to say thank you. Your respect...does not go unnoticed...and is to be commended. With that said...all the best luck in Detroit. (I have always loved the Tigers, and their history). Detroit Tigers...a fantastic organization. I wish you all well.

no i swear i just have something in my eye, i'm not crying, you are crying...but on a serious note he could play for every other team in both leagues ( i know thats not possible) but he will always be a tiger and i don't even think the jv haters will disagree ( i doubt there are many if any)

what a class act from a future hall of famer. the trade had to be done and got us 3 good prospects for us and eventually be back.
