Daemon never really cared about any woman like he does for Rhaenyra. You can see how he lowkey touches her, how he looks at her (even when Rhaenyra was younger), he really loves her. He even stays in the sidelines now, letting Rhaenyra lead. (*sighs*) If only Viserys had let them get married in the first place, it would've prevented unnecessary bloodshed.

I like the way he gets closer and closer to her at the table. I feel heartbroken for them, they had great potential to live happily ever after. I really like how they transitioned their relationship over the time gap. Because Daemon and Rheanyra start off as something very passionate and “blood of the dragon” and stuff and even though they already respect each other it’s very different from that mutual trust and comfort they exude in each other’s presence after the time jump. It really feels as though their relationship grew during that time and I particularly enjoyed that because it again sets them apart from Alicent and her personal unhappiness and her stagnant marriage that’s basically rooted solely in her sense of duty and desire for power.

In the way he stands, the he loves, and hates and fights . The way he stands over his children like a papa dragon . Rhae as well
