There are definite differences between British and American Mini Eggs, too! I didn't discuss those here, mainly because @Old Fashioned AF and I discussed them last year. Click the link in my description to re-live that discussion.

I've lived all over the US and I've never seen a hot cross bun outside of playing the recorder

The hollow chocolate bunny is usually the lowest quality of chocolate. As a kid you’d be excited to see this huge giant chocolate bunny, and then sadly disappointed that you bite into a giant hollow piece of of chocolate flavored wax.

Growing up in Michigan, we had lamb for Maundy Thursday and then ham for Easter Sunday.
Our Easter baskets always included a chocolate bunny (or a chocolate cross, if the store had them that year), Cadbury creme eggs, little foil-wrapped mini eggs, marshmallow Peeps, and jelly beans. :-)

Before I learned about much of anything in the UK, when I was a kid, I only heard the term "hot cross buns" in a nursery rhyme.

In Bermuda Good Friday Is a Public holiday and also a family/Friends gathering. People eat Hot Cross Buns and Fish Cakes (mixture of mainly Codfish and Potato). We also fly Kites and drink Bloody Marys before the kites are flown.

This may sound silly.. but from working in an elementary school, when you said Hot Cross Buns my mind went straight to the song students learn in their recorder. You can withstand anything if you can make it through the recorder section of music curriculum- 27 students all trying to play this in their recorders. Bless them

We broke from our traditional spiral ham and started having Rib Roast. At least everyone in my family likes it. When I made ham I'd have to make another meal for the picky eaters. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

Hello Luvs! We wanted to let you know how much of a blessing both of you have been to us here during the Great Lockdown. Please know we are cheering for you, as well as praying for you both. You sounded so sad! We hope you feel a bit better soon! (Also, another reason Americans do not eat a lot of lamb is because it is hard to find in most grocery stores outside of large cities and it tends to be VERY expensive.) Please know we do love your work - it makes us laugh during a difficult time. Thank you so much for all you two do! Love to you both!

I'm Canadian and my grandparents were English & Irish . Growing up we followed mostly British traditions. I've never heard of simnel cake before.

We get hot cross buns during lent in Pennsylvania. We eat lamb too! Jelly beans and solid chocolate eggs from Hershey's (because it's Pennsylvania).

We had some type of dessert every Easter, whether that’s cake, pie, cookies, etc., but it was never a set thing. Someone would just bring a random dessert.

Question about hot cross buns : "One a penny Two a penny Hot Cross Buns."What kind of pricing system is this?

In my family, we usually have an "easter bunny cake". It's a couple cakes frosted and arranged together, and decorated to be shaped like a little white bunny rabbit wearing a polka-dot bow tie. You can use whatever cake or cake mix you fancy, using round cake pans...but we tend to use Spice Cake.

This year, we had a bunch of tree limbs come down, so we are doing some burning, which means we are doing a hot dog roast and s'mores for Easter, lol

My Mom cooked a leg of lamb for Easter, or as a backup choice, ham. Carrot cake was common on Easter. Chocolate bunnies, hard (marzipan?) candy eggs, jelly beans, and Peeps were my favorite candies for Easter. Thanks again and Happy Easter Tara and Lawrence!
