I was like 8-9 maybe, don’t exactly remember and was a fan of Pokemon. So I made an imaginary Pokemon named ‘Thunmon’ at that time. Last year, my brother somehow found that drawing I made and ordered a customized orange coloured ‘Thunmon’. It was so heart touching.
Just wanted to share this bc I was excited after seeing the cake. Also English is not my first language, so please bear with me :)

This is an exact technique out of a vintage cake decorating book my mom owns! Her mom (my grandma) made cakes using the book when she was a kid.

I always did the one square, one circle, and the circle in cut in half and each half is added to the top sides of the square when it’s positioned like a diamond, but this one is really cool too. Not everyone has a square pan.
