I guess my goal should be to slowly shift from my distrust in myself to my trust in God. Through meditation of the scriptures, in prayer. I have been asking God for healing for almost a year now. I have been feeling like he has been withholding it from me. But what you said really hit me:

"At some point, your child is going to look at you and when you withhold something from him or her... when you don't let your child have something that they really want. And when they look at you and they say: "You don't love me." And when that happens... just try not to blow up.
