I am in a season vacillating between faith and doubt. Oh, the bedrock is there or otherwise my unraveling would be complete. But to bring up three boys in the Lord and to watch each one of them walk away one by one, has me wondering, WTF? I have tried to be the father that God is to me, and during my son's valley of the shadow of death, when he was in a coma and regressed to being a child, God was there, and I never left his bedside. And his response? Nothing but the narcissism characteristic of being an 18-year-old but not what I expected. Does God have good plans for my Luke? My past has been all the evidence I need that God's plans were for my good, but my son? Why am I doubting that he'll come back to the faith he had as a child? Please pray for me -- and my boys, Luke, Joshua, and Samuel.
