I’m going on 19 now, been watching since the start, I just wanna thank you everything you’ve taught me, I didn’t have a father to show me how to turn a wrench, but in a way, you’ve sorta helped me out. Was able to get a job at a local tractor shop, thank you!

In my humble opinion you are an artist and that is a work of art.
Your attention to detail is staggering and the end results are things of beauty

This isn’t just making something work. This is recreating history and providing context to how they built this tractor. Well done!

Simply amazing, this build peaked my interest causing me to go back a few years before I started watching this channel. A 1of 1 tractor with no parts support to speak of from broken castings and all. This will be a museum piece for the generations to appreciate! Great job to you, your Dad, Grandfather and others that helps you to get the tractor to this point. Keep charging, looking forward to the rest of this historic restoration! Thanks for sharing!

It's just great to see it finally coming back together. I would like to emphasize for other viewers and commenters, that Research is probably the most important part of any restoration -- and your research is impeccable. I hope you write a book someday, I'll be in line to buy it.

I have to say Toby....you don't know me but your attention to detail really satisfies my OCD and I can't tell you how much watching your channel calms me down....thank you. It's a weird comment I know but it's true.

This series of videos has put me on pins and needles every time a new video is introduced. I'm a fellow fan of minneapolis-moline tractors ( I have even got my wife into MM tractors !) my father and I have a fleet of them. Between the two of us we have several 445s, 4stars, a jet star, Jetstar 2 & more all in various condition. This series has been an immense help with its vast detail in understanding & fine tunning the process of restoring & repairing this series of tractors, these videos are much appreciated! Thank you for your appreciation and enthusiasm these prototype tractors.

I watch a lot of mechanic and machinist videos. You by far have the best camera angles and video of 99.9% of them. Also you explain the reasoning behind every action, which is incredibly valuable.

Wow! This has been quite the journey for a mere 4 ft or so of a hunk of metal. I like it! I’m celebrating with you on this great accomplishment! Way to go Toby!

I can only thank you again and again for your work and your videos, not only are they very relaxing to watch but also gave me the confidence that such repairs and restorations can be done with common sense and some tools. Could have used that confidence some years ago when I was offered a 70's tractor for free because the gearbox was jumping out of gear all the time and it was undriveable.. well.. better late than never :)

Hi Squatch253,
I am back home from a crazy Turbo prop air ambulance plane ride this Tuesday night in a blizzard to Sioux Falls hospital to have surgery on my dislocated ankle and broken in three places tibia and fibula bones. Yes, I now have hardware in my right ankle area to keep me together. Tell Senior Squatch to watch himself on the snow and ice. This all took place on ice disguised as snow, and it took less than a half second to happen. Keep the videos coming as I am out of commission for a few weeks.
Thanks for sharing!

Awesome. This project is really picking up momentum again, and it’s great to see. Thanks for the effort it takes to film and edit. It is our bread!

Really impressed at the speed of movement on X231 after such a wait, absolutely loving it and that thrust washer was a work of art.

I loved to hear the story of how the prototypes came to you. I hope to see the x231 run again.

As I said the solutions you come up with are the things I enjoy the most to watch.

And I don't suggest anything unless I really know what I am talking about.

Great video Squatch! I've got a huge appreciation for all the work you put into the transmission. It's not something that everyone can or will do. Cheers

I am just in awe of the amount of work and thought that has gone into getting a prototype as close as possible to the original. I can't fathom anyone taking that project on. If fell into the only hands who could have done it understanding its history and working out the occasional compromises necessary and the meticulous and hard work to fix the whole thing from its terribly damaged situation and condition.

It's really nice to see the ampli torque housing all sealed back up and looking good 👍

This series has been in all practically a Master class in antique equipment restoration.
The was Squatch explains in detail what, why and how all aspects of the work he has done is why I keep waiting for the next episode.
Not one boring moment.
