2025 Salomon Advanced Skin 12L running vest Preview

Not even this Salomon guy looks excited about this downgrade of a vest. There’s no top stash pocket (probably the best feature of the previous ADV Skin 12), no trash pocket, and the tunnel pocket is now like half the size of the one in the previous model and is now more difficult to access while on the go (because it has less width). There’s also no middle compartment between the bladder compartment and the main rear pocket. Yes, the material of the chest straps is a little softer and stretchier (similar to the Sense Pro 6, which I also own and love), and there is slightly less bounce when the vest is loaded. Also, there’s a new small pocket inside the main rear compartment. But the bounce in the previous model was so minimal that I only hardly noticed it after trying the new vest and the old vest with the same gear, one right after the other. I also never had any issues with the materials of the previous vest (I ran 20+ hour ultras in it). Salomon solved problems that didn’t need solving and then tried to cut costs by removing features that made the previous version of the vest great. Also, the insulation bladder pouch is not included anymore (never used it, anyway).

Why take out that rear stash pocket at the top? I want more pockets I can use without taking the vest off, not less!

Real shame about losing the quick stash pocket. I also wonder where they've made the weight savings? Online says it's like 50g lighter.

The advanced skin vests are perfect. Just put out new colors here and there

Black or gray? What color do you like guys? I have black 5L maybe i will try the gray to hide the dried sweat 😅.

Ah, don't understand paid people saying how ADV vests are perfect, no they are not . Bought mine last year, used it every weekend and zipper was destroyed in after few months of using this vest . Currently looking for my new TNF 12 l vest.
