Thank you sir! I checked my oil and it was low, dumped some in and problem solved! My car didnt have any check engine light before or after nor any warning indicator, but the stuttering went away after oil was added.

The RD4 that I use to drive in high school used to do this occasionally. Found out that it was a simple fix, but the fix was temporary. This is essentially a VTEC malfunction/disabled code. VTEC works by a rod in the valve rockers which locks the rockers in place via high pressure oil solenoid. When you run low on oil, the solenoid won't be able to bring enough oil into the valvetrain to activate the VTEC, hence the rev limiter set to 3k. Try changing the oil and clearing the code and see if that works. If it doesn't, the solenoid might be bad

Dude your video saved me..was replacing VVT solenoid which required me to take cable cover off etc ..put everything back and my car wouldn’t go past 3k rpm’s…watched your video and turns out I didn’t connect MAF 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ plugged that baby back in and floored it close to 5k rpm’s lmfao you’re the man

Wow dude thank you. Everyone was looking at me crazy when I tried explaining this. Told me it was a vtec issue but I realized I started getting the issue once I got the code for a knock sensor, can a bad knock sensor on a 07 accord be causing the for the lack of better words “WOMP WOMPP”

It might be the check engine light when it comes on then it might rev at 3k for safety an example if your engine block is worn out then the check engine lights comes on then it revs at 3k to likely prevent more damage to the engine

Probably it is the mass flow sensor either need to be replaced, plugged, or cleaned

had this issue so many times, it's your oil pressure sensor/oil pressure solenoid

For my situation my car needed more oil I got a 4 cylinder accord and for some reason I have to put 7-8 quarts for oil to show on the stick.
