Verity had me devouring it in one sitting. People We Meet On Vacation made me cry. I love the friends to lovers trope, especially the way the two main characters are portrayed. It reminded me a lot of two of my characters going through something similar.

Friends to lovers: they were friends before. There was never a romantic thing between them. Now they are in a relationship.

Second chance romance: were in a relationship before. It broke down for whatever reason. They meet again some time later and try again.

Second chance romance is when a couple has broken up in the past and the story explores them getting back together. Friends to lovers is two friends who become a couple. People we meet on vacation would be considered friends to lovers because they were never a couple in the past.

-I absolutely loved People We Meet On Vacation and Red White and Royal Blue!!
-The Unhoneymooners was pretty good and I really enjoyed it as a summer read!
-I could not STAND The Love Hypothesis or The Spanish Love Deception
-I couldn't even get through Take a Hint, Dani Brown unfortunately but it had nothing to do with the writing.
-And I have yet to read Beach Read.

I feel like The Spanish Love Deception is pretty hyped up bc of Aaron's as opposed to the plot lol, I think people like it bc of Aaron being so sweet to Lina instead of praising the fake dating story line. From the tiktoks that I've seen, most of them include Aaron's lines and things that Aaron does, and after reading the book I can confirm that Aaron Blackford is what kept me reading the book lol
