how do you not accidently reverse while trying to put it in first

Having reverse below 5th in 5-speed shifters always seemed risky for accidental shifts at high speed, though I can't recall ever coming close to that. It just makes more sense to have it near first, done when stopped.

So if u r used to the 6 speed, and you're driving a 5 speed, you are going to put it in reverse when going for 6th gear at 180kph...
