İt's really important to learn Turkish if you're going to live there... I've been here for almost three months now.. and it's so much nicer that I can understand some Turkish now... Made my life here much easier 😅

Of course, one can live in Türkiye without learning Turkish. However, there won’t be any quality of life socially, spiritually and emotionally. How do I know? I’m an American and I’ve been to Türkiye 9 times. Finally, I’m beginning to learn Turkish and I’m already enjoying the heightened sense of awareness by being able to pick up words and sentences when I go back. A simple walk through the city can be a lot more enjoyable by knowing the basic Turkish and getting better each passing month. 🇺🇸 🇹🇷

I live in Istanbul. For travel or holiday in Turkey, you really don’t need to know English. However, if you’re going to live here, just like in any country, knowing Turkish will make your life easier, especially when it comes to social interactions.

The girl saying it is hard to find people who speak English means: 1) she lives in the ghetto and/or 2) she lives far from a city on the coast. 👍
