Walking past the Disney store decades ago, when I saw the latest princess dress in the window, I gasped, "My granddaughter would LOVE that!" My clueless friend asked, "Where would she wear it?" I smiled and said, "EVERYWHERE!"

"It's fun to make" is definitely enough reason to make it!

I don't know what's cuter the little hops to get the layers in place or the little button hook.

I used to make period costumes and I have to tell you that this dress is absolutely gorgeous! Beautifully created and well designed. And thank you so much for the reason " just because"!

There were lots of Movie Makers & Movie Producers that needs people like you and your collection of beautiful creations.

What live action Belle's dress SHOULD have looked like! 💛

just wear it out anyway! People might ask if you are in a movie or a play or what's the occasion, but then you can smile and say "I made this dress and I love it! I want people to see it!" Then you'd get compliments for your work!
You don't need an occasion!! Just wear it to the grocery store! Overdressed is a myth created by people who hate fun!

“I make this stuff because it’s fun to make, and honestly I feel it should be enough “.
Perfectly put. I suffer from depression and complex regional pain syndrome without my artistic outlet, I frankly do not know where I would I be. I do it because it’s fun, and when my family started pressuring me to try and sell what I make, it to me was no longer fun. It was the opposite. What I got back from mental stability and pain relief by being focused on something I enjoyed doing, I simply also know it’s more than enough. You make beautiful creations. 💚 Keep rocking you

my mother always used the question "where would I wear it" to get out of buying me dresses instead of pants. she never seemed to understand. now, as an adult who is learning to make clothes as a hobby, my closet is filled skirts and dresses that I wear every day. it makes me happy to see more people embrace the idea of wearing what the f*ck they want.

Honestly that’s amazing! I’d start planning events where you are supposed to wear stuff like that, just to wear it

Hollywood should hire you as their Costume Director or whatever they are called. You have talent and the world should see all the beautiful thinks you make

I gently recommend that you don’t question yourself on this issue. You are absolutely right and everyone has something that they like to do, that they treasure or get into. Making these dresses is your thing and it’s actually quite unique and beautiful. Allow yourself to do this as much as you want or can afford. It’s what you like to do, it’s not illegal and doesn’t harm anyone else! You go for it and be happy! And I don’t think there’s anything here that you should even feel remotely embarrassed about.
