Is the mic your using wireless? I noticed there's a little box at the bottom of the mic your using is that something to do with the wireless connection?

Rode Wireless FTW! I have shot a couple of conventions/trade shows with them and they work great. I always carry a wired backup, but we haven't run into interference yet!

Awesome video! I just got the rode mic pro but I haven't used it yet. Super excited to see the difference it makes in my video quality

Great video. Thanks. My Sony Alpha 5000 doesn't have an external mic input. Do you have any advice about a good solution for interviewing mics that do not have to be attached to the camera please?

Awesome video! Thanks for the info. I use the rode video mic pro plugged directly into my camera but I might consider upgrading in the future

☆ Do you have any idea what could be the issue if my mic connects to phone fine (TRRS adapter) > it is recognized and starts recording.. but then randomly just cuts out completely after a few seconds or a loud noise (and I have to re-plug the adapter) ...Is it some sort of electrical current issue (overloading the TRRS?). Nothing in my android software/settings seems like it would interfere. 🔥 But if you have any ideas to try to troubleshoot/determine this... please let me know!!

Hi !! I record video in church service and the audio is not good at all, so what is thought is to get feed from mixer/ pa system from aux cable and get it to my dslr or camcorder. will that give me a proper result??? is this a proper/ correct way??
I was about to buy 10m long male-male AUX cable.
I need some suggestion??

Hi,
I have a canon 6D & 70D, I use a zoom h4n and I have a lead going to the camera from the h4n and I record to both, easy to sync in post, plus I have two audio tracks incase of a problem, Plus I use a splitter so I can use head phones as the canons don't have headphone jacks (thinking of buying one of the new Sony's). Oh and I use a rode video mic pro going to the h4n, If I am doing an interview and I am on my own I bring a stand and use a boom pole for the rode mic and a long lead to the H4N.
The Rode H4N is fantastic, when I am videoing an event where people are talking on stage I either get the audio guy to plug it in the system, I get great audio, or I clamp it to the stand where they are talking, its a great recorder, I love it.

If your camera doesn't have a mic input will it still work?
