My favorite quote is “there are years that ask questions and there are years that answer” by Zora Neale Hurston. I read that during one of the hard times in my life. There have been times that I cling to that.

Moved, changed jobs twice, and then had a tumor the size of a basketball removed - all in 1 year! Single ADHD Mom and no child support with ADHD teen. I'm exhausted.

Thank you, Mel! This morning I prayed to God to send me a sign to put me back on the right track, I asked that the sign not be painful. This episode has exposed so much about where I am off track. And it wasn’t painful! 🙏❤️

Was the caregiver for my mom for 3 years. She passed away in 2020 (dementia)...followed by brother passing away from a rare disease that same year, 4 months later. The 2 closest people in my life, mind you; all during the pandemic when you couldnt see anyone in the hospitals or senior homes, couldn't plan funerals properly, etc. In 2023, still trying to put my pieces back together. If it wasnt for the grace of God I dont know how Id make it. Anyway, Thank you for all you do, Mel.❤

You don't know how much I need to hear this right now. Going through a VERY dark night of the soul and barely hanging on here. lost and depressed. I know what is wrong, I don't know how to fix it, or it's out of my capabilities right now. 😭God Bless, Mel. 💖🫂

Wow. This took guts to say. Great stuff, Mel.
I went through serious trauma at the end of 2021 and 2022 was my worst year. Like a daily fight to stay alive level of bad. I’m still fighting in 2023 but now I’m fighting to find my peace.
Love you, Mel. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world

I had to laugh when you said “life is trying to teach you and a lesson and if you do not get the lesson life will bring out the sledge hammer” that is so true Mel..I am so glad I watched this episode. Love you Mel.❤

I can relate Mel! I’m going toward a huge professional goal of mine, which includes a DRASTIC pay cut, living out of state for 3 months away from family and friends, becoming a empty nester, selling a home and moving. Then having a really hard time adjusting in my new city. I feel lonely and I feel super misunderstood. From the outside looking in I probably look like I have it all and things should be sunshine and rainbows. So thank you for your authenticity, vulnerability and real talk as we need more of this. Love your content and F bombs. Keep it coming. ❣️

Thank you. This has been one for me. I am a super positive person and on the mend. Glad I’m sober and keep showing up. My life gets a bit too crazy (stubborn) before I pay attention to the lesson.

I understand having a very crappy year. I had to break off my relationship with my daughter as she has been extremely disrespectful to me, and I needed to set my boundaries. She’s 43 married with two children who don’t give a crap about anybody but themselves second thing that happened is that I put down my favorite dog in the whole wide world three weeks ago. She was 17 1/2 years old and was my girl I have had friends and parents pass away but this has been the hardest I have ever encountered.
