Lara as always is a vocal master. The video is a bit blurry. I may have picked the wrong copy. But a great rendition and interpretation of the song. Loved the background vocalists.

This song has been done "traditionally" for decades. Glad to hear a different version for a change. I would bet Lara felt the same way. There are too many "trad" versions of Christmas songs in Wal-Mart discount bins already. Lara is always different and fantastic!

I really enjoyed this reaction. Thank you.
I've listened to a few of Lara's songs and I do admire her. Sometimes when an artist improvises I like it, as I do in this case, but sometimes I don't. I heard a popular singer do a well know Christmas song not too long ago who improvised the song and I thought it was terrible. Another artist did the same song improvising as well and I loved it. I guess it all amounts to personal taste.
By the way, might I suggest you check out Geoff Castellucci's God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.

You haven’t reacted to her duet with Bolton, doing “The Prayer.” It’s gorgeous - even if it’s sort of painful to see Bolton straining the way he has a tendency to do with high notes and sustained phrases.

I wish Lara had done that song with Andrea Bocelli or even Josh Groban; neither of those men seem to SUFFER the way Bolton does. Given how gracefully and artfully Lara sings, it’s sort of painful to watch Bolton strain the way he does… He produces a beautiful sound, but WATCHING him do it just hurts. The contrast with Lara’s ease is stark; it would just be nice to see her sing that particular song with a male singer whose artistry and ease match her own.

Anyway, though - it’s worth a video. 🤗
