2022 Tesla Model X or 2016 Tesla Model X! Which One Would You Buy?

I had the opportunity to have a 2016 6 seater Tesla model X loaner available next to my 2022 Tesla Model X 5 seater so I compare them together hoping to help making your decision easier between the two.

I prefer the screen on the 2022 tesla model x because like you said it js much smoother and way less lagy than the 2016 model x, so I defently like the 2022 version better and I love the new interior you got it looks beautiful!

The aluminum paddles only come with performance models for the pre refresh.

the only thing i miss in the model x plaid from the raven and previous generations is the interior door handle for the front doors i loved pulling the handle much more that the simple button

Thanks for the in depth comparison of the creature comforts. I've been in the market for a used model X for about a year now and the prices on the 2016/2017 models are pretty enticing. I've seen them below $25k in my area compared to $75k for 2022+. I'm still not convinced the updates make it worth 3x as much. I'm not in any rush to buy so I guess I'll wait it out. And considering that a brand new X starts at $79, 999 the used prices for these should rapidly drop this year.

Some things that are really nudging me toward the 2022 are the longer range, faster charging (2022's can charge up to 250kw vs 120kw for 2016), updated door sensors and seals, rear display for kids' entertainment, improved build quality, reduced road noise. Besides the price of the 2022s I don't like the yoke (I don't hate it but my wife does), the lack of shifter stalk/turn signal stalk/physical horn button.

2020 raven is the earliest I would go. Your video is well thought out however the build quality of the refresh can’t be overstated. 23 X plaid has been a far better car. I still keep my older X as an airport car.

I had 2015 silver X. Now I have 2022 white Model X. I like the silver better but my white one has longer range.

I prefer the 2022 Model X because it just looks more refreshed and better. For example there is a nice finish of black on white on the door handles that looks amazing. I hate the new yoke steering but I suppose you could get used to it in the long run.
