i love the fact that the brother day is not always the same, first brother day we meet is someone who solves problems with murder threats and agression, next brother day learns from his lessons and tries to be as passive and calculative as possible while the newest dawn is absolutly not interested in any of the affairs of the empire. Even tho they are the same person, their times shape them into something else.

"Destined for the same old bottle"; you can see Day mouthing those words behind his hand. He has watched that message many, many times.

I love how they show the new clone isn't quite the same. Sure, the attempt at suicide but that's 'in your face'. His hesitation, his questioning and even something as subtle, yet HUGE, is that he's left handed!

When they all pick up a glass of wine he reaches with the wrong hand, only to quickly correct himself. Then he draws the girl with his left hand. Maybe its because I'm left handed but I always pick up on characters being left handed - given the clones are all right handed this is a HUGE warning sign something is different in his brain. Handedness has correlation with different perspectives on music, language and science (not necessarily 'better', just 'different'), this clone could have totally new views.

Ironically that's exactly what Sheldon says clones don't provide. A 'broken clone' could reinvigorate their dynasty, but the other clones won't stand for it if they realise.

The problem with the psycho mathematical equation that has everyone worried is Seldon's Belter blood.

The current Cleon Day seems different from the usual mould. He seems more contemplative and less aggressive than the current Brother Dusk who was the Brother Day back when he attacked the two planets without enough proof.

Hari Seldon's predictions reminds me of the predictions of global warming. They are based on facts, science and computer modelling and predict the potential decline of modern civilisation if nothing is done. But the political elites then question it like its a dangerous ideology that can be outlawed or debated away.

The Cleons carry this show. Otherwise its just another 'scrappy band of rebels vs empire' storyline

This scene was pivotal in ascertaining a deeper understanding of "Cleon" clones. It seems horrific to me. First seeing who you will become till eventually seeing who you were. All the while correcting errors of your predecessor only to make some of your own. Later to be corrected by your successor. I prefer Brother Dusk. He's much more contemplative as Brother Day is impulsive.

Interesting how they bring up religion, when in the original novels atheism was virtually universal within the Empire until after it had crumbled. Even the cult-like inhabitants of the Mycogen sector on Trantor get offended at the suggestion that they believe in the supernatural (for them, Paradise was the historical Spacer worlds).

The more I see of this, the more I have to revise down my estimate of what percentage of the story is actually based on the books. It seems to have only the most tenuous connection to Asimov's books.

That's not how I remember it. How much more of the narrative have they changed? I've read the books from cover to cover 6/7 times over the years and right now I'm not impressed with what I've seen.

The cleon arch is definitely the only good part of this woke garbage of a show. What a shame. The genetic dynasty was a brilliant addition to the story but this gender replacement and woke feminist garbage in the other arch just ruins it smh
