I think the concept for a game like this is cool. I found myself becoming super frustrated though. For me personally playing through a time loop is awful and I’m not a fan of spending 2 hours playing the same 12 minutes essentially, I just feel rushed, and doing the same thing multiple times is super annoying to me. Story seems good but the gameplay wasn’t for me at all.

It’s crazy because literally when you start the game, one of the paintings in the hallway is of a bookshelf and in the painting, there’s one red book that just sticks. Crazy how things come in full circle.

Ok, So I've been playing and watching stuff about this game, it's pretty interesting, but this actually isn't the REAL ending.
The devil is in the details.

Check this: When you get to the room confronting the Dad, you can choose to not be with her anymore. As the final credits roll, Two of the watch's outer ring align. As you click Continue, you're apartment is empty, you have no neighboring apartments and the watch is broken. Remember this as Ending 1.

The one shown in the video, shows at the very end that those rings become misaligned and the time loop repeats. Remember this as Ending 2.

However, there's the Third Ending, the one linked to the Mindfulness achievement. This one almost plays out as the Ending 2, but you need to time it right. Let the Dad talk a bunch, then pick the book to start ending 2, but then click on the Clock ahead of you. As the clock stops at 12 there's a special dialogue, and as the final credits roll, the Third outer ring starts moving and all of them align. There's no more option to Continue. Game Over. Ending 3.


What I think is going on is that, on Ending 1, the choice your Character makes the choice not for what he wants, but because he knows the outcome. The Watch aligns and stops working because you've made the right decision for Her, but since you could only know this because of the nature of the Loop, you become a Time anomaly, hence why you're completely alone. On Ending 2 you take the lesson of the book to heart, but you insist that "your present" is supposed to be WITH HER, so you forget your crimes in trying to live with her again in blissful ignorance, but that's the WRONG path. The Watch misaligns and starts counting your Loop again. On Ending 3, learn the true meaning of the book's words: Live the PRESENT. You are out of the Loop and your Character's life continues from THERE, HIS present, which us as the players cannot see.

In a weird game, this is one of the easiest and hardest games to play.
Gameplay is simply and easy, but holy hell to figure out certain things in this to progress the story can be really difficult.

The worst for me was the connection between the onesie and the nanny name. Never would have thought to give him a onesie when he says he forgot the name.. I kept going to the plant in the bedroom, watering it, seeing it blossom, but then not getting the chance to see if that was the name he'd forgotten.. then i looked at the paintings too and still no use.. would never have guessed it if I didn't watch this video.

I got the true ending without mentioning the thunder or proving the time loop. I tried it with the radio song but that didn't work, so I waited until I found the second piece of evidence, which I never found (the thunder). So yea, you don''t need the thunder and present stuff at all, it's optional.

SPOILER: For those who had already beaten the game, does anyone know why when during daytime you meet with the father (to get any of the 3 different endings) sometimes he is bald and other times he has hair. I don't think it's a bug. But how does it connect with the story? Is the bald police your father as well? Is all happening during a psychology therapy, in your mind?
