With diabetes, your body doesn't make enough insulin or can't use it as well as it should. When there isn't enough insulin or cells stop responding to insulin, too much blood sugar stays in your bloodstream. Over time, that can cause serious health problems, such as heart disease, vision loss, and kidney disease.

Jardiance may be used in combination with metformin to help lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes. Metformin is another drug used to treat type 2 diabetes. Several clinical studies have shown that Jardiance and metformin are effective in treating diabetes when used together.

When did you notice the weight loss with metformin and jardiance together? I started both a month ago and now going up to 25mg on the jardiance

I took Ozempic and it ruined my appetite so bad I stopped it this week. I took metformin at 1st and had to add it to my starter dose of Ozempic. When I bumped Ozempic up to .5ml it worked fine without metformin. Today I start Jardiance starter dose. I will add metformin if my sugar goes up until they bump up my dose.

My doctor prescribed metformin and jardiance together. My A1C was 9.3. I’m 5ft7 240lbs how much weight do you think I would lose?

I am currently at a stable A1C of 6.7 (this is the highest A1C I’ve had) I am currently on metformin and was just prescribed jardiance, I’ve been taking 1/2 pill once a day for about a week now, and I take 2000mg of metformin a day (two 500mg in the morning then again at night. I haven’t had any terrible side effects, but I do notice that I do have to pee more frequently. I’m curious to know how this combo will affect my A1C.
