I hope people understand that the camera view makes most cars look slower than they are. The Corolla is no slouch at all I had one keep up with me until I got over 120mph in a Chrysler 200 S.

This car accelerates quicker if you actually shift at 5500 rpm. In my SE if I go above 6000 there’s a slight delay in gear shifts. But if you shift before 6 I actually find that the trans moves a lot smoother. I also think the most torque is found at about 5000 so I shift at about 5500 with the paddles for smoother acceleration

9.7 seconds from 0-100km/hr, a bit slower than the Civic 2.0L. I wonder if it does any better than the civic 2.0L for fuel economy. If not then, no point buying it.

Faking gears like that is just so stupid. It would accelerate significantly faster without doing that.

The manual model is so much faster. CVT is garbage. Also this needs to be turbocharged as it will make a noticable difference compared to naturally aspirated.

Edit: At the end of the day it’s just an economy car wether it’s an LE or SE
